Quite interesting that Eight's episode is coming before Seven's. Can't wait to listen to this, one of my favorite BF ranges.

McGann versus a monster that wipes memories. This pairing is iconic. Thanks for giving me a laugh today!

Bit wary about the Clockwork Droid story, from the clip it sounds like it’ll be like Harvest of the Sycorax where it ends up being a rehash of their TV story.

Another Excellent set
Invasion of the Body Stealers
Classic 4th Doc and Sarah
The Queen of Clocks
A fascinating look at use of the Clockwork Droids and their potential implications
The Silent 2 Pater
The 8th Doctor EP is Brilliant the 7th doc is good and it would have been a intriguing prologue, however if you listen in correct order it is in fact almost a take or leave Coda
5/5
The set was recorded at height of COVID. Extras make mention of Remote Recording, fears for the industry, BF being a vital source of work and sometimes hope.

Only on the first story but some thoughts: Tom Baker is in fine form! Invasion of the Body Stealers is great fun.

Only heard Invasion of the Body Stealers too, but absolutely loved it. As mentioned, Tom is an utter joy and I’m so happy to get a Fourth Doctor & Sarah story at long last. Great use of Harmony Shoal in a way that isn’t reductive of their TV appearances. They’re a bloody good idea, aren’t they? I wish they'd had another outing in Capaldi’s last series, maybe instead of the Monks.

Or would it spoil 8s story?

As is Sadie Miller for that matter. She mentioned in the Extras that she grew up watching B-movies with her dad so this is the kind of story she loves. I hope we get more of the Harmony Shoal. Turns out they are a pretty fun foe.

For those who have heard it, I'm guessing the Harmony Shoal episode is set before their Christmas specials with Capaldi?

It continues the timey wimey nature in being set after their encounters with Twelve and from Harmony Shoal’s perspective Husbands is set after Doctor Mysterio, despite coming beforehand!

Invasion of the Body Stealers contains a few gory sounding moments as befits the Harmony Shoal and the result is fast moving and great fun, although surprisingly free of tension; the good guys are clearly sign-posted as being one step ahead of the baddies throughout. I like the cast – for a time I was convinced Michael Cochrane played the character of Lucas (actually nicely played by Tim Bentinck), and it's great to hear The Fourth Doctor and Sarah again. Can’t think why they’re not paired up more often.
The Queen of Clocks. Lots is made of the relentless, needle-like ticking for the second story, creating a really creepy backdrop. I remember a similar treatment for the wonderful Time Works story from many years ago (2006); it’s very effective. Nice also to hear from Mel without her being sidelined as has been the case recently. The fairytale medieval setting is good for the Clockwork Droids, and the harpsichord-sounding incidental score is not unlike that for The Twin Dilemma (this year being the 40th anniversary of the story, I wonder if that’s deliberate?). The whole cast, and Colin and Bonnie in particular, are on great form here – Old Sixie seems genuinely crushed by events toward the (very powerful) end. After a lot of Sixth Doctor stories that are not to my tastes, produced by Jac Raynor, this is a cracker – and it’s written by Jac Raynor. It’s a funny old world at BF sometimes, but I wouldn’t be without them. Two very enjoyable tales so far.

Merci, much obliged! I did wonder if/when BF were going to (at least try to) wrap it all up! Now as far as time period goes, it's not outright stated in the story I think but in the extras Jonathan Morris states this is several hundred years after Doctor Mysterio. I would guess 25th or 26th centuries based on that and mentions of an Earth Empire in the story.
