give me quality over quality any day of the week. Quality? This guy is the dude who made his bones on a reality show called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Also WB's stock just tanked. They lost 3.2 billion dollars. DC, after a rough start, had a plan, and it was a good one. The movies were getting better. Keaton was a grand idea. Now, all the small progress they've made has been thrown into the wood chipper.

So, developments: Zaslav hires James Gunn and Peter Safran to head DC Studios. Okay, points there, good choices. But leave it to Davey boy to snatch defeat from jaws of victory: he's axing more shows even when they've already been renewed, and now is taking more shows off HBO Max. www.avclub.com/hbo-max-remove-westworld-love-life-the-nevers-1849885758Like I've talked about before, that leads to a loss of work and residuals for the actual teams working on shows, what little they get from streamers. All this is just going to make Gunn's job a lot harder to attract talent over: how can you trust a distributor who'll not only not carry your stuff, but renege on agreements in a flash.

Westworld? Westworld? Are they insane? It was cancelled so no surprise. Regardless, it was still one of HBO's flagships and it had both Abrams and the Nolans involved, so taking it off like that is not small potatoes.

Well aside from easy access, the people who worked on it lose money they are fully entitled to, as said above. Most of them are definitely not millionaires.

And now we have Zaslav's masterplan: dump all these shows (including now Moffat's Time Traveler's Wife) onto third rate ad-supported streamers, making access somehow more convoluted and probably seeing none of that cash go back to the actual talent. variety.com/2022/tv/news/warner-bros-discovery-hbo-max-fast-1235461623/The big streamers already don't pay great, so imagine how much lower this could go with a bunch of services you've barely heard of. A continuing devaluing of creators.

Utterly moronic both sides who loved the Snyderverse and those who hated it both say that Cavill was great in the role so having him been fired and the whole thing being rebooted just sucks especially as they got Ben Affleck as Batman back for aqua man 2 it seemed like things were looking bright for the dceu

And Gunn wont even be doing a complete DCU Reboot as surely he wont cancel his own show in Peacemaker and has said he wants Margot Robbie to continue as Harley

Which honestly just makes the whole thing more confusing for me
