I believe I read somewhere that James Goss said the actress specifically requested not to appear on the covers as she doesn't really resemble the character of Lizbeth, but I'm not sure why she appeared on Madam, I'm's cover if that's the case. I assume that was a mistake or something. See upthread a few posts for actual James Goss Tweet That would be where I read it! Thanks for the heads up (even if it does make me look a little dim for not noticing ). I typically only read new posts in threads, so I didn't reread that one from three months ago.

Loved this. 🥰
In case Soho was just this trilogy, it’s a wonderful, fun set of stories. For me, its a tie between Parasyte & this, with Ashenden a smidge behind. I’m so glad I bought this series. It was an entertaining listen these past few days. With a few breaks here & there.
I like this Soho crew just as much as I like TW One, & 3. And these stories explore the team’s personalities & character building as they handle many different situations & threats & complications.
The Unbegotten starts off as a haunted street story on the surface 👻, there’s some deadpan humor as the team takes stock of the situation, then more mysteries come to light & the plot escalates.
I like how the conclusion is resolved. Unexpected yet logical & satisfying.
I hope there’s more Soho someday. 😊

Just finished this last week. It was quite enjoyable. I was quite surprised that Norton did not have a big plan behind everything - he was just looked for Gideon. All in all a satisfying listen.

That was good fun - not quite on a par with Parasite and Ashenden in terms of story scale but an enjoyable romp through 50's Torchwood nevertheless. The chemistry / bickering between Sam Clements and Dervla Kirwan's characters is just a joy to listen to, and hopefully a once a year visit with Norton, Lisabeth and Co will be a regular occurrence..for a while at least. 4th July : a hat tip to elkawho for spotting my "deliberate" (for "deliberate" read "totally unintended") error... it is of course Sam Barnett and not Samuel Clements. I'm blaming old age and fat fingers while typing..🤪...

I hate to be picky, but I'm sure you mean Sam Barnett. Sam Clements might be fun to have in these, though.

I will put it down to either multitasking while typing that post and mixing up my Sams....or being of an age where I'm allowed to have a "senior moment" now and again....🤣🤣🤣 Original post edited to account for my 'faux pas'...😁
