Absolute firecracker she is, and when I met her at the autograph table it was somehow barren of fans, so 14 year old me got a 10 minute chat and a autographed vortex. She genuinely gushes about Big Finish, and talked about how many great stories and actors she got to work with, including a then unannounced Fourth Doctor in Series four! |

She genuinely gushes about Big Finish, and talked about how many great stories and actors she got to work with, including a then unannounced Fourth Doctor in Series four! Oh yes she is awesome.. I met her years ago with Matt and Karen (a couple years before my boy was around).. He wants to wear his lil 10th Doctor "suit" and his 4th Doctor scarf (hopefully the outfit still fits its been over 1 year!) . I am going to get River Song Cd 1 cover signed and try to get some spoilers out of her ! |

I am jealous.
I had already signed up to 2 conventions to see her-
but once she had a change of plans and did not come and the second it was COVID.
So have fun!

$ouch$ . I bought our entry tix to tomorrows convention and the relevant photo/autograph tokens.. The prices have not surprisingly increased majorly since this time last year. I have made the decision to only meet Alex Kingston and Michael Beihn (Kyle Reese from Terminator 1). Regretfully going to have to miss meeting "Flash Gordon" actor Sam Jones. Just those is over $300.. I am aiming to have Alex sign my "Diary Of.." cd cover (because you can't sign a USB LOL!) |

Still, you are doing things well above my pay-grade- so far, I have never been able to pay for any "Meet and Greet" or even the Gala-dinner with the stars at the German Who convention.
Only ever able to do pictures and autographs.
I certainly am doing the wrong job.

Ok.. We are off now.. We scored free parking through a relative of wifey- they live 1 street away from the Showgrounds.. My boy was desparate to give "The Doctor's Wife" some pictures he had drawn for her, 4th Dr and her.. They have strict rules here about no touching/no presents etc.. So we are trying to break it gently to him.. I have 1 of my "Diary Of River Song" cd covers ready to get signed.. I have 3 X 4th Dr scarves .. Junior will have 1 I will wear the other for the photo.. Fingers crossed for a smooth day.. I will be looking out for a couple forum members there.. I should be easy to spot in a crowd. |

Ok.. I am home now, was a quick day today. Literally bumped into theillusiveman in the lineup for pics with Alex Kingston (nice to finally meet you in person!).. Alex was her usual self, she loves posing with people (within reason of course).. Now Junior and I were both wearing our 4th Doctor scarfes, she called out to junior as we were walking to her "Oh my, I love your scarf it belongs to someone very special to me".. Junior yelled out "4th DOCTOR!!!!!!" and she laughed.. Photo with 4 of us ( junior was standing on a mini stool right in front of Alex, she was playing/holding his scarf from behind.. I was holding my "Diary Of River Song" Season 1 Ep 4 cd cover in the pic (her and 8th Doctor).. Now during the autograph session she remembered Junior, she smiled when she started signing my cd cover. She asked "did you enjoy this story" to which I replied "yes, I enjoy the range as it expands on the character of Professor River Song and makes her more awesome".. She smiled and said "thank you I really enjoy recording them".. I then had to comment cheekily "Is it pretty obvious I am one of those fans that buys a ridiculous amount of cds every month ?" She burst out laughing. She waved goodbye to Junior and he waved back.. 3 steps away sitting next to her was "Carl/KORAL" from The Walking Dead, I gave him a thumbs up and said "G'day mate thank you for visiting Australia it's very much appreciated".. Thumbs up back and "thank you very much I have enjoyed it this week". Next stop was the "The Australian Dalek Builders Union". fans that build some Amazing sets. For a gold coin donation (AUST $1 or $2 coin) u could have a pic taken with the 5th Doctors TARDIS Console, full exact recreation which I have posed with in the past, it's signed by Doctors 5,6,7,8 and maybe 11(?). Then.... I bought a He-Man sword for Junior at another stall. LOLZ Now to work out how to post the pix here.. I have sent/flooded peoples messenger/emails from this forum already.. It's my weakness posting pics on here ARGH |
