Success means nothing when anybody who doesn't have Sky can't watch it. Well, you could say that about any show on premium tv including some of the biggest shows in the world like Game Of Thrones. Sadly, these days, if you want premium content legally, it's not going to be terrestrial telly.

Having not had premium content, or even regular TV for several years now, has never been the deciding factor if I'm interested in a TV show.

Think you quotedthe wrong guy...I never said it was and I'm 100% interested, or I wouldn't have started the thread

Modern Stan Lee means absolutely nothing in regards to quality; sure he creates heroes but rarely writes the actual stories they exist within. At least he's still working in his 90s but nothing to shout about. Was surprised when I saw a billboard for this yesterday.

Whether you think it adds quality or not to add his name to a project (and it certainly doesn't detract) it still gets publicity and attention for a new show which - novel idea - might just be pretty good on its own merits.

I meant in terms of anything, not just TV. There's a paywall behind some Doctor Who - BBC Store, LEGO Dimensions etc...

There's a paywall behind some Doctor Who - BBC Store, LEGO Dimensions etc... Well, yeah, people don't just create this stuff for free. Everything has to be paid for somewhere by someone or all we'll ever get are fan films/fiction, and we wouldn't have those if it wasn't for the paid or product that created the fan base in the first place.

Yeah but I mean more the 'pay for extra content' thing, not merchandise or books. LEGO Dimensions is a good example, having to buy NFC minifigures to unlock more content whereas a book wouldn't fit what I mean because you don't unlock extra pages by buying hidden chapters or something.
