Which Big Finish companions have proved the most successful, I'm also including older Jo, Nyssa and Peri etc as they feel like a new era created by Big Finish
My favourites
Evelyn Smith, Constance Clark
Hex Scofield
Charlotte Pollard, Lucie Miller, Liv Chenka, Helen Sinclair
I'm looking forward to the return of Jo Jones and would love to see an original companion for 3
It would be great to see 2, 5, 7, 8 and 9 get new Big Finish companions as it would create new eras for each of those Doctors, the 2nd Doctor has plenty of room with Beyond War Games, 5, 7 and 8 have had regular stories with similar combinations for some time now, something new could be a lot of fun.

Evelyn, Charley, and Lucie are the clear standouts from Big Finish original companions IMO. No shade on the rest, I've enjoyed them all, there's just a certain magic to those three. EDIT: I can't believe I forgot Flip. Her too.
Best reformed legacy companion, close race between Tegan and Mel. I can't stand either of them on TV, I'm perfectly content with them both on audio. (And I'm intentionally excluding Jago & Litefoot here because they weren't companions on TV so I'm not counting them as such here, no matter how much I loved their range).

The Flip/Constance pairing has been the most successful 'BF original' of recent years. The Marc stories were also a good, if short, run. Really, Hex's story arc ran on for longer than it should have, but I don't think there's an outright unsuccessful BF companion, or a TV one who hasn't been at least as well served on audio as they were on TV.

I'm hoping the return of Jo Jones feels like a new companion. It's lovely getting new stories with classic companions but I feel 11DC:Geronimo! is proof of just how well a new companion can shake things up. I'd love to see;
The 2nd Doctor travelling with a helper/handler in Beyond War Games, obviously Jamie returning at some point will be interesting but I'm more keen for CIA handler to create a buddy cop situation.
Interested to see how Margaret, then later Harry and Naomi work with 4.
5 travelling with a new single companion would be cool, I love the dynamic he has with Peri in Caves of Androzani.
7 travelling with a single companion towards the end of his life appeals too.
I've not seen Time War: Cass yet but I'd like to see the Eighth Doctor with a new long term single companion.
And 9 desperately needs a regular companion to give the stories some direction.

I feel like it's been quite a long time since they've had any kind of overarching vision for what to do with Sylv's Doctor. I'd very much like to see what you wrote, with them emphasizing how Seven is nearing his journey's end. I don't need or want it to be the end of Sylv's tenure with Big Finish, I just want a little more focus on the character's direction, and a new single companion is probably a decent start toward telling that story.

Only one set in, but I’m loving Valerie opposite Eleven and I loved the ragtag trio of Ten, Anya & Mark Seven. Just thought they were worth a mention alongside the likes of Evelyn, Lucie, et al.

Totally agree, I'd have mentioned Valerie but her name slipped my mind. I loved Dalek Universe, would definitely like to see a return for those characters, get the impression that Tennant won't have much time for regular recording but perhaps with a little timey wimey magic another Doctor can meet Anya and Mark, perhaps even Valerie and 11.

I love the 7th Doctor, I keep hoping with each new release he'll get a new companion or fresh story arc. Ace, Hex and Mel are great but I feel the need for something new. I loved Cris and Roz but I get the impression that set didn't sell well enough, I was underwhelmed by the recent Harry and Naomi set, it wasn't bad but I was hoping for more. For me 7 is a wealth of untapped potential.

I too am a big fan of the Mrs Clarke/Flip pairing but to be honest I think they work just as well solo.
And also consider me another one who wishes the Seventh Doctor had another original companion towards the end of his life. Although to be honest, I think you could do something akin to what I thought they would do with the Ninth Doctor.
Throughout his adventures, the aged Seventh Doctor encounters people who act as potential companions yet he continuously rejects their offer to travel with him. He’s too weary and finally feeling the weight of centuries pressing down upon him. As well as the moral guilt regarding the various acts of manipulation he has committed in this incarnation.
Not that I think Big Finish will do such an idea but it’s how I would approach it.
Sorry, went a bit off topic there.

I like BF bringing back one-off TV characters as companions, e.g. Mags & I'd be up for more of that. Gail from Coronation Street as Mary Ashe, anyone?

Lucie Miller and Liv Chenka have emerged as my favorite Big Finish original companions. They're both characters that have meshed perfectly with the Eighth Doctor.

Both great companions, I'd love it if they could meet in some timey wimey way. Something along the lines of 8, Liv and Helen meet Lucy while she's in her early travels with the Doctor, the Doctor is distant because he can't let her know her future and all he wants to do is run.

I’d really love to see 7 reunited with Rachel Cooper from The Architects of History.
They kinda wasted Lenora Crichlow on a one and done role.
