Salvage by Max Curtis (An Eighth Doctor and Bliss Adventure read by Adèle Anderson)
There's a place where all lost things go. Salvage, a sanctuary where the abandoned and misplaced can be found. In the Time War, more has been lost than ever before. Planets, people, and even whole timelines have been consumed by the fighting. Everyone needs Salvage, but even this haven isn’t immune from the effects of the Time War.

Thought this was a great concept with some wonderful descriptive prose that perfectly suited a Short Trip. This had more development for Bliss than her whole 16 episode run of the Time War range. I didn’t get on with Adele Anderson’s reading, and felt the same about the last set; I find her quite aggressive and doesn’t get the Doctor across very well at all.

Bliss has a character! Who knew!?
But seriously this story actually fleshes her out in quite a sweet and tragic way. Her cradling blankets in a fading memory of home is the best, most human scene she’s ever had. With mention of her childhood stuff and talking to her grandad I feel I actually know who Bliss is a bit, whereas in Time War range proper she’s just given very generic companion material.
The Salvage train is a wonderfully sweet little idea in the carnage and horror of the Time War. Perfect for this range.
