AWOL by Angus Dunican (A Third Doctor and Brigadier mini-drama read by Jon Culshaw)
In the short time the Doctor’s worked for UNIT, he’s become an invaluable part of the team. Yet, he’s gone missing. For the Brigadier, the tricky part isn’t going to be tracking him down. The tricky part is going to be convincing the Doctor to come back.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this one to begin with, as I thought the Brigadier was a lot colder than he was on screen and couldn’t quite reconcile how this was supposed to fit. And then it turns on its head and ends up becoming a brilliant character piece between the Brig and the Doctor. Enjoyed it a lot.

Really neat character piece between the Third Doctor and the Brig. It's really interesting to get a story where there's {Spoiler, kinda} No real villain or threat to speak of. It's just these two characters fleshing out their relationship amidst the fallout of a jarring event. Cool stuff!

What a great story! I wish it was something we had with the original cast, that would have really been something. I have missed the Short Trips quite a bit, and this story is a good example of why. I do wish we were still getting them monthly. It was always great to be able to close out the month with a great short story.

That was a really neat little story. The Doctor and Brigadier just talking to each other was really rare and I liked their perspectives this story offered.

What an interesting foundation stone a perspective of the here and now vs history but with the eventual acceptance that both men operate from the perspective of acting in and for the greater good.
