my biggest problem isn't the money but rather, where to keep them ...the "piles" of cds are rising

The big 2 , cd and vinyl.. Space is never an issue I have a shed the size of a small house in my backyard all man-caved out for me.

Digital Download, I suppose. If only to save space.

Well, if I won the lottery, I definitely would get my own mansion, so space would not be an issue and I would go for a nice shiny CD collection. Since I have not won the lottery and live in a tiny flat, I think I have to stay with the collection on a couple of external drives.

Digital. If money were no issue it would not change my preferred option. But what does other mean?

I suppose with a cassette if you didn't like the story you could record some music over it...

I'd be happy with sticking to downloads to be honest. Back up all my purchases to two different hard drives, which are easily accessible to grab should I need.

I received 3 in the mail a fortnight ago, 1 of them was a new release too.
I have 2 cassette players in my house and my car still has one. Also have 3 record players.

I suppose with a cassette if you didn't like the story you could record some music over it... Well, the most popular German audio series is still released on cassettes. In the THOUSANDS.
I actually have been called out in a Facebook fan-group for not being a "real" fan, since I do not listen to the series "the right way" (=on cassettes) but lower myself to filthy downloads.
I am very happy there is no such "gatekeeping" on this forum.

Cassette. Strange. A really dated & not at all user friendly format.

Cassette. Strange. A really dated & not at all user friendly format. Like in any fandom, there are people who call themselves "aficionados" and look down on others even if it is actually a bit weird what they are doing.

Digital mainly because of the space and technology I have available to me so I could listen.
