We are off within the hour, no suggestions provided..so... going with Main/Monthly Range #79 7th Doctor "Night Thoughts" cd cover (because you can't get a USB stick signed LOL). Lovely creepy story isn't that right Timelord007 !
I will also have to learn how to post pictures on here from my pic with Sophie. I just googled her, she is about 5 foot 2.. I hope the photographer can take a high picture because these arthritic knees aren't crouching HAHA

Dear diary : "Today was a great day, spent the day with ozmatt and theillusiveman .Sophie is exactly how you would imagine to be- very genuine and warm and loves talking With the fans. The story of her trip here is very fascinating, it involves 3 different Convention Promoter Companies working together with the ridiculous overseas plane flights which have doubled for us. She has been all over Aust and NZ over the last 3-4 weeks with her husband (who is also a BF actor!). What was really weird is the photo token had a picture of a Forum Member on it with Sophie ! (I have forwarded it to another forum member to reforward it to them. Small World!) Absolutely bursting with jov talking about everything Sylvester.. Her very 1st scene Ever in her career was the scene in "Dragonfire" when she is hanging off a ledge(?).. JNT in his wisdom quietly had a word to Sylvester/Sophie at the end of filming the last season "You know, maybe you should take your costume home for appearances you will do in the next couple months".. She suspects JNT knew then it was going to be cancelled. She had the jacket in her closet all this time, it was the original one she wore in the last episode where she came back with Janet. They were treated awesomely on set, moreso from Jodie whom she was very complimentary and loves her to death. She had a "wow" moment when she realised there was 1 scene with all 5 women on the show "and we weren't talking about men or about shopping!" The promoter "put her on the spot", she swears she has not gotten any phone call etc about coming back for the "alleged" UNIT spin off - she will be there in a heartbeat. She found out through talking to all the classic era Who actors (when approached about doing Conventions here), they are personal friends with Scott the promoter here (he has Frazer, Terry Molloy, Katy Manning, Colin Baker and Paul McGann's phone numbers installed in his personal mobile - Frazer immediately forwarded his mobile and email address to Sophie)..
In between proceedings we had on the big screen "Rememberance Of The Daleks" and "Survival".
I had my photo with Sophie, bringing along my boy's 7th Doctor Mr Men children's book- She immediately took it and stated she loved how she is green in the book.. I explained it was my boy's book, we read 1 book a night every night from the 13 books (so far) in the series. She loved hearing that and asked questions about Junior, she loves how he watches both classic and nu era and loves them all equally. The promoter over heard (we get along great- he knows how much of a BF fan I am etc), and told me to call wife and get her to come down so she and Junior can meet her.. I did and they rocked up just before I walked in to get my signature from Sophie. She commented that she had a GREAT time recording "Night Thoughts", however she is a big wuss when it comes to anything with horror so she can't listen to it too much. I told her I only listen to it in bed with the lights off and headphones on, volume loud. She "Noped" at that LOLZ. She was Hugely complimentary about BF, she cannot believe how (character wise/story arc wise) they keep finding ways to expand/grow her character and the companions. She is a Huge fan of the character Hex too, loves the dynamic of "sister-brother" on her end but "wanting to be more than friends" from Hex's side. Now diary.... To work out how to post the picture on this forum..! (Can anyone help me as an Idiot's Guide in 25 words or less?) |

Scott the Promoter used to help run the Biggest Cons still going on in Australia, there was 1 in the Gold Coast last week they got 26,000 people showing up . Insane numbers for our size.
He prefers doing his solo cons up to 300 people , firstly to keep the costs down and so everyone can really get involved, Sophie was sitting in the audience with us 1/2 the time just walking around and chatting to everyone of all walks of life.
Big conventions are fine, but the smaller ones can be better- he always sets up for the VIP's the lunch portion, they go to the restaurant at the Hotel and the VIP patrons who paid have lunch with them. 1 of my oldest mates has had lunch with Doctors 5,6,7,8 and about 6 classic era companions. Paul McGann fell asleep at the lunch table once because of the jet lag LOLZ
