It could work though, time lord triumphant decides to right his wrongs and rescue Adric from the crashimg ship, finally realising that the weight of a teenage boy probably didn't make the difference between the dinosaurs dying out and not doing. I take it you've not heard {Spoiler} The Boy that Time Forgot
then?

I have, and have tried to blot it from my mind. this is why ten.2 would be the only Doctor that I think would do this as he would be rewriting his own timeline. I don't think it will happen but it would be a great way to blot that travesty from existence.

I'm still with Tegan on this - the ship was crashing ANYWAY. Adrics presence on board being taken out of the equation wouldn't have saved the dinosaurs. Five could have went in for him and - if it were the new series - 100% would have. However, JNT wanted the shocking ending. Exactly, the Doctor abandoning Adric makes zero sense whatsoever. Mind you, neither does Leela falling in love with Andred, but Big Finish put that right so it's time to save Adric.

Excellent news! I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with here. It could easily be another Fifth Doctor boxed set, or even a season with Four, but we haven't had a Fourth boxed set in a while. I wonder if there might be some plans along those lines that include Adric.

Maybe it's for the rumoured cold fusion novel adaptation

Because when 10 meets a past companion, David Tennant's Whovian side comes out and you can really see (or if it were an audio, you'd hear) how glad he is to see the companion again. You don't really get that with any other Doctor IMO. I believe McGann is a lifelong fan of Doctor Who, though I've yet to hear the ones in which he meets a past companion (his interaction with the 4th Doctor was great fun.) And of course, Capaldi has been a fan for ages.

I kind of want McGann and Jago and Litefoot, now that I think about it.

How the dickens did I forget that I'd listened to the Relative Dimensions and Lucy Miller/To the Death? Perhaps I was thinking of her more as his granddaughter than as a companion? Yeah, they were great together. I do hope that Susan meets up with the Eighth Doctor again.

While I'd love that, isn't that release at the end of 2017? close. It's December 2016 Wow...then yeah, if they said there is no new Classic Doctor sets, and that we have our 5th Doctor Trilogy in the main range this year, the unknown novel adaptation may be Cold Fusion.

Didn't know that about Paul McGann but Peter Capaldi hasn't had a chance to interact with past companions on-screen or in audios yet (unless you count River Song as a companion).

I love to see a Doctor Who pub quiz between Tennant & Capaldi to test the greater Who knowledge.

They were beaten by 13 and 14 year olds, with questions on Moffat's script. Apparently afterwards he was berating himself for "how the f**k he could have missed that". Source: Peter Capaldi.

That's Tennant and Capaldi.

Can Big Finish produce an audio interview of that exact trivia contest? Tennant vs. Capaldi vs. Moffat vs. Briggs.
Also, does anyone else think this is Cold Fusion?

Cold Fusion is the popular opinion on what the unannounced Novel Adaptation is. The fact that it's three discs is a heavy indication it's a denser story being adapted. At this point I'd rather get cover, synopsis, cast details and trailer for Nightshade. I know at least one guest actor, not sure if they'll be credited or uncredited. {Spoiler}The Sentience manifests to the Doctor as Susan for a chapter or two (a big theme of the book is nostalgia). I will admit I am curious about how they'll manage a big role in Original Sin, {Spoiler}the recasting of Tobias Vaughn, since Kevin Stoney is no longer with us.

Maybe they can have him be temporarily "aged" so we can have him acting like an adult. I've got no problem with Waterhouse, but they wrote the character to be grating & obnoxious (teenagers usually are....) and BF didn't get too far away from that in the box set. He wasn't as bad in the latter...but I just wish we could have a more mature perspective of the character. Obviously, Earthshock limits things.
But one can always cheat.
