Worth noting that this isn’t part of the Audio Novels bundle and is a separate release, like Scourge of the Cybermen.

I actually really like the sound of this. Omega is one of those characters who I feel you can approach in a variety of very interesting angles.

Actually quite intrigued by this - Omega has only been used sparingly (especially given that Stephen Thorne is unfortunately no longer with us) so it's a nice return for him. A Three and Four team-up is unusual and especially with two Sarah Janes in very different times of her life (although it could be a bit too similar to Emancipation of the Daleks in that aspect), and Culshaw is a good reader so this sounds promising.

I wonder if this means they’ll be more of these after January’s sixth release? Since this isn’t included on the bundle.

Put me down for a preorder, multi doctor stories are always fun, and this is a pairing I’ve wanted for sometime.
Add omega, a personal favourite villain, and a reading from Jon Culshaw and you’ve got a story with a lot of potential.

Well heck, this sounds really interesting! 3&4, two Sarahs, Omega and Lizzie Holley is a strong writer! Think I’ll have to order it!

Intrigued by both the trove of possibilities in the premise and the potential verbal workout for John Culshaw of The Box of Terrors - Three and Four interacting in an Anniversary multi Doctor story, two versions of Sarah Jane not that far apart from each other in the timeline...and the return of Omega - the ultimate tragic villain.
I've yet to dip into the Audio Novels range, but if anything was going to draw me in to trying the others it would be this one. A bit too early for a pre-order, but definitely not ruling out the option. I'll be watching for further details (like the trailer...) with a great deal of interest.

Hang on - I've just spotted K9 on the cover! I can see what you mean on the right of the cover, but I am not sure that isn’t just Sarah’s blue top. I hope you are right as that would add another level of interest to this release, especially if John Leeson is the second voice…I assume this will have an extra voice like the other Audio Novels.

Really interesting idea, seems better than Once & Future. A shame its an audio book not a proper audio drama.

I've had a really hard time getting through this one. It's no reflection on Culshaw, he's fantastic. (I love his Benton!) But there is so much to it that if you loose focus at all you can get lost. I was in the middle, and had no idea what was happening, so I've had to go back to the beginning. It probably would have been better as a special 60th Anniversary full cast audio.

My take on The Box of Terrors is now up at CultBox - In summary, an absolute treat - it has the feel of an anniversary special, albeit one granted an impossible feature-film budget.

Ian, thank you for always being respectful of the forum and posting a comment on the story rather than just the link to your review. I don't normally do audiobooks, but this one is tempting.

Me too - bit of a grind this one. Lots of promise, but never hooked me in.

I enjoyed this one, although I agree with your comment on what happens if you lose focus. There was A LOT going on
