The problem, I believe, is twofold. Firstly, the single-CD format doesn't have enough room for stories to develop properly. Secondly, the fact that this project was designed to allow episodes to be slotted any way round meant that there was little opportunity for consequence

I honestly wonder if reactions to the storyline would be different if the release pattern had been different... two box sets perhaps, or one set like The Legacy of Time? Does a monthly drop demand more 'connective tissue' to keep the interest in the mystery? I will be honest with you- for me it would have not made much difference. I would have gotten the anniversary release either way, box set or these single releases. However. I just cannot get into these stories. The storylines do not grab me, there are too many characters thrown together, the overall writing is just an overboarding "X meets Y to run into Z and then we run around a little and everyone shouts a couple of words". There is no substance. I have no idea what the whole thing is even supposed to be about. I come to Big Finish to listen to STORIES. With something called a "plot". Not some wild thrown together pick and mix character and word salad.
I am unimpressed. And I would also have been unimpressed if this had been a box set.
Agree 100%. This is a new low for BF

Agree 100%. This is a new low for BF I’d argue that the lacklustre Genesis of Terror that barely warranted enough material for a release is more egregious than some mediocre stories.

I’m hoping there’s a plot twist and the “once and future”nDoctor turns out to be Susan I mean, at least it's a change from the usual "turns out to be the Master" we're used to with the Timeless Child and Fourtennant, I appreciate the variety.

Has anyone else finished it yet?

Well, I had considered listening to the full run today, but agreed to do some overtime at work (which is FINALLY a thing again), so might not necessarily have time... Judging by the trailer? I'm optimistic for this release, and am looking forward to giving it a listen to a little later today!

I think it's the best of the lot. Not great and still has all of the messiness of the previous instalments, but feels like it's got a lot more heart to it, which is what you'd want for an anniversary. The degeneration stuff was very well handled and I think works much better than vast multi-Doctor interaction on audio; they're not recording together and are given generic lines, so to have it all be one person as part of an ongoing conversation feels more like a fist in the air moment. For me anyway! The interaction between the Doctor and guest cast is the best its been too, thanks in part to it being less a shopping list and more meaningful in their conversations which serves a purpose.
The attempts to connect back to the previous instalments felt a bit forced. It's all been too disparate to then try and make it seem like it's been building up to something epic and connected. I wasn't keen on The Union reveal either; it doesn't do a lot and falls flat as a result.
I did really like that it was the War Doctor who was essentially the Doctor all the way throughout. Nice way to get him involved in events and obviously gave us that interaction with River which we'd otherwise not get.
Interested what the Coda will entail now.

Am I missing something? Not really sure there was anything controversial or of note, to be honest. I’d be expecting the same level of discussion we’ve had for the previous episodes, which is not a lot!

Well, it's fast paced, Maureen O'Brien is very good as the wicked stepmother, randy old aunt River is back, dropping a few more double-entendres. The finale is supposed to wow us with it's flurry of voices, but it took me a while to figure out who some of them were (or were supposed to be). Remember the end of Paul McGann's 1999* TV movie, all that 'think alarm clock' stuff that probably made no sense? Or the first two episodes of BF's three-part Zagreus? That's this story. Not the plotline, but the frenetic noisiness, cinematic bluster and Doctor-actors repeating lines from previous incarnations. This would like to be a celebratory runaraound at the twilight end of an epic story, but when the story has just been a concoction of pretty mediocre set-pieces and mash-ups, it just comes across as dramatic but empty. And then this happened. And then this happened. The main course of Once and Future has been a mix of voices from different eras of the show for no convincing reason; this dessert is a mix of even more voices from different eras.
*I meant 1996 of course!

Paul McGann's 1999 TV movie I wish we'd had another one in '99

Voices were heard, decisions were made.
This series has been very rough. The ending hasn't smoothed things out, sadly.
MY RANKING - A Genius for War - The Invasion of Planetoid 50 - The Artist at the End of Time - The Union - Time Lord Immemorial - Two's Company - Past Lives

Seems like I dodged a bullet with this range, & saved money. Only a year to wait folks for The Final Act! Just in time for the 61st anniversary!

Didn't end with a bang, but at least not a whimper. No idea what Coda can possibly be about, though. (Oh, and in retrospect {Spoiler} I reckon we ought to have known that the Union was the Thirteen. On the other hand, DWM were wrong about the Doctor being no 8
