They almost all fit between Eps IV and V. Vader Down is part of the same run as the main book and Vader's own series so you just read those two in order and you're fine. Shattered Empire is after ROTJ and may well inform the new Poe Dameron book.

Poe Dameron #1 Lines up REALLY closely to Episode VII rather wonderfully. This feels like the first proper tie-in wheras things like Battlefront, Shattered Empire and Aftermath were set years ahead, this has Leia send Poe on the mission we see at the start of Force Awakens. Soule absolutely nails Poe here. It's like reading Ocar Isaac. No mean feat considering his limited screen time. The coolest part? There's a back up BB-8 strip Attachment Deleted

I'm really worried about DC. While I welcome the return (more or less) of the pre-new 52 contiunty, DC really seem to have hedged their bets on Batman Vs Superman being this massive success and a gateway for new readers and it hasn't had the most positive reception (I'm yet to see it).

I don't know if you watched the unveiling video of the new slate but it doesn't seem to be enslaved to the films at all. As I posted above, Marvel have had that issue for a while now but Jim Lee seems sure, for one, that the comics are not going to be re-active to the films at all. Of course, commercially it makes more sense to have books ongoing for, say, Harley Quinn when she's going to be a big part of your summer film but it doesn't seem the books themselves are taking influence. Indeed, they've got some creators onboard who would walk away (and have before) if they were being mandated. The sad truth is that DC and Marvel now accept the percentage of people who watch the films then buy comics is tiny - there are so many movies they don't need to read to satisfy the itch, just wait a month for the next superhero film or tv show.

The sad truth is that DC and Marvel now accept the percentage of people who watch the films then buy comics is tiny - there are so many movies they don't need to read to satisfy the itch, just wait a month for the next superhero film or tv show. It's definitely Marvel who are using the movies to get more people into their comics. A couple of months ago you couldn't move around the local comic book shop without bumping into Deadpool, and the new Black Panther has at least eight variant covers. Not to mention in May they are doing another Civil War summer event. No prizes for guessing what inspired that. DC did use Batman v Superman to promote titles with them, but it's more that they are promoting their back catalog (New 52 material at least) rather than writing more Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to take advantage of the movie, as Marvel did with Deadpool and are doing with Black Panther. Some variant covers did have a BvS theme, and last month' issues across most of the titles had a banner on top advertising the movie, but it's hardly as aggressive a move as Marvel tend to do. Besides, the focus at the moment is on Rebirth, and wrapping up the New 52 proper.

was looking for don mcgregor 's panther run to be re package in trade with t'challa hitting the big screen soon. so marve is coming out with a black panther epic collection in october . but then i notive how much stuff from the seventies is being released trade form. holy cow. heck even son of satan is getting a trade release. there is a collection i would love to get but its going to be over a hundred bucks the deadly hands of kung fu. stories from the deadly hands of kung fu magazine not the regular bronze age comics over a thousand pages of mid 70s kung fu comic deadliness. other stuff comng power man and iron fist, marvel's frankenstien's monster, manthing, shanf chi master of kung fu, dr strange, even dc is getting into the act with the originall run of black lightning from tony isebella abd trevor von eden. one of the great thing about all of these runs you can give them to a kid. keep your eyes open

Back To The Future #6
Really fun as always - this is set post-Part III and sees Marty kinda depressed that The Doc is gone and he's not got any adventure in his life. Then...Western Union deliver him a note from Clara in the 19th century saying The Doc is missing. Marty doesn't know if this is the Doc from before building the time-travel train or not so if he interferes he may stop Doc ever inventing it...but his actions could be how Doc invents the train in the first place...very BTTF.
I'm seeing almost no-one reading this series and its a damn shame cos it's EXACTLY the tone of the films.

I have been enjoying Back to the future comics. My favorite story was the WW2 era one.

C-3PO One Shot
Wow, this was GREAT. I didn't imagine a 3PO story could be so emotionally affecting. THis reveals why he has the red arm in Episode VII and it's really quite a poignant, sad story that really challenges the perception you may have of droids in the Star Wars Universe. There's a lot of Isaac Asimov in this, plenty of ideas about sentience of robotic technology and it comes down on a very interesting stance.

Aliens : Labyrinth
This is such a fantastic series an a must for any fan of the alien series old or new EU. Issue 3 would be a complete mindblowing sequence if it was ever done on film. and the fact that they added the BackSplash prologue to the TPB works as well. Its just pure quality

Marvel have announced Darth Vader will end at issue 25 Sad news, it's one of the best SW comics ever, but I guess you can't have too many adventures in between Eps IV and V without stretchig credibility.

I was able to get the Phantom and Avatarex. I got that because I've been reading Reincarnation Man and recognized the company. Is 18 days good and how many issues or book are out? The covers look amazing!

The covers look amazing! I'm glad someone was able to get a copy of The Phantom. I may have to go on ebay and get a copy from the states. From the preview of 18 Days it looks amazing. I dont know how many have been released or are planned to be released, but its something i'll keep my eye out for
