This feels like that Cybus account that eventually led to absolutely nothing.

Inept marketing for the UNIT spin off, is it coming in summer or autumn??? Neither. This is just some small stuff to get a subset talking, using iconography people now know from the Who finale. They're not marketing a spinoff that is still recruiting crew never mind not even show a single frame.

Quite a few bits of information leaking out about The War Between the Land and the Sea. Seems to be 5 episodes total, with Dylan Holmes-Williams directing as per CV of Line Producer Carolyn Parry-Jones. Seems apt given the line appeared in 73 Yards and he directed that.
A post on Gallifrey Base, from someone who’s been reliable with previous sharing of information, has said the following about it:
Martha Jones will be leading the series in a rural, present-day English town. And yes, the UNIT team are involved (Kate, Shirley & Mel etc.) The title isn’t literal (as a lot of people have said recently), and it’s “quite distinctive” to previous spin-offs. The Sea Devils are in it, though.
Very interesting! I think Martha is an apt choice for a spin-off, wonder if she’ll rock up for a guest appearance in season two before TWBTLATS debuts?

Huh... so they're going more the mini-series route instead of like an on going series... I guess, if successful, you could spin it off into an anthology series of sorts with each season focusing on a different old companion working with Unit and have people/characters come and go as needed.

RTD's scripts impacted S14!
It can't be a coincidence that the best episodes of the season were written by people other than him!

The War Between The Land And The Sea rumour I was sent by a friend, they say on Reddit {Spoiler} "Martha Jones will be leading the series in a rural present-day English town. And yes, the UNIT team are involved (Kate, Shirley & Mel etc.) The title isn't literal (as a lot of people have said recently), and its "quite distinctive" to previous spin-offs. Update: A resume/CV for Dylan Holmes-Williams shows him as the Director for the spin-off series with 5 hour-long episodes. Based off this, we can predict production to complete by either the end of December or January. Though, this could just be a placeholder runtime too. Estimated release is Spring 2026, which also leaves room for a Martha reintroduction in Season 2.
