I wonder if we might see Benny in lieu with River in one of the stories? It seems inevitable these two will meet up at one point and it'd be a good way to introduce Benny to the revival audience.

Yay! Do you think we'll get a series of monthly production notes in the runup to it's release? Or am I just being deliberately provocative? Quite frankly, yes. None of the Big Finish creative team have to come here and answer our questions or provide further insight into their output.

Oh I know, but I do wish they'd give this range some more visibility in terms of news stories. the odd facebook comment just seems ridiculously low key.

Be that as it may it is gong to be officially announced in the magazine. I don't normally think there is an announcement of an announcement so it is a bit more than the odd Facebook comment to promote it.

I'm pleased to hear we'll be getting a third box set soon - I really enjoyed the last two! I wonder if we'll see an appearance from a New Series character such as River to draw in a larger audience.

The speculation on Facebook is that this will be "Benny Unbound" with David Warners doctor and an unbound Master. I'm not sure I believe it, but if true it'll be in DWM in 2 days.

Oh, I hope not. {Spoiler}I don't mind the Unbound stories, but I'd rather this be a straight up story.

Where are they even getting this info? Seems like speculation based on nothing.
Maybe Ill eat my words in 2 days though!

Hope not! I read the above spoilers on the Gallifrey Base forum earlier today, apparently a member there got a copy of DWM early and confirmed it as true...I don't follow the Benny range...but this certainly strikes me as a surprising development...

Well I guess it's true then. I don't think people are prone to spread fake rumors about Big Finish. There doesn't really seem to be a point to that.

If it is true, then I won't be in a hurry to preorder. Not that I don't like the Unbounds (I do), they are just not high on my priority list, whereas a straight New Adventures Benny (with Seventh Doctor) would be.
Cheers

Cheers Tony Yeah, I'd rather have a straight New Adventures Benny. But I'll probably buy this one whether or no. I'm too much of a Benny fan not to.

If it's true, then it's disappointing. I'd rather a straight-up Benny boxset, as I'm not too drawn to the idea of an Unbound-type boxset. I'd probably get it eventually, but it wouldn't be nearly as high on my list as a straight NA Benny.

I love the Unbounds, so great stuff for me but I'm a tad concerned that this, coupled with the River set having Colin and Syl are another two quite gimmicky releases. Does everything going forward need a high-concept hook?

I'm quite interested in the idea. People have commented a lot that the New Adventures introduced 7 because the Benny range was flagging, but th downside was that people felt she was more than just another companion.
This has me very interested, and the unbound bundle has been high on my wish list for a while now as it's suc good value.
I haven't yet managed to get into the Benny range but am determined to do so this year and am slowly collecting titles ready fo a marathon.

Well if true its satisfies the BF fan fringe at least, but why they just don't slip a New adventures style instead of an anthology in the MR's 1 year, or a Benny solo mini-series I don't know.
