£20 for Series 1 on CD or £12 on download is really cheap. It's not the best BF (Iceni aside, which is GREAT) but at the prices on offer there, anyone on the fence should really take the plunge.
Also, This Is Tom Baker is down to £5 on cd and download. I really enjoyed that - Tom's actually very candid and not being too intentionally barmy.

Happy Birthday, Tom! Great opportunity indeed, have I ever seen such savings as the bundle? Could hardly be a better time.
Some good stories too - Wrath of the Iceni was awesome but certainly there others that I liked in the first series. I thought the setting itself easily helped make Energy of the Daleks into an interesting story, for example.

I only have a limited budget I can spend on B.F, and so far I've mostly stuck to McGann's Doctor (own all of his audios, around a dozen of Colin's, a couple of Mcoy's and the first River/War Doctor boxsets-although they seem interesting Doctors in their own way I'm not overly familiar with the 5-7th Doctors so I've decided to spend what money I can on areas with less prior continuity to worry about) but that was too much of a bargain to turn down I've seen Tom Baker's TV stories up to Underworld, so will I be able to follow the Series 1 audios? And, of course happy Birthday to Mr Baker!

Yes, you will, 100%. It's very much continuity free. This was the jumping on point for a lot of people with BF.

And, of course happy Birthday to Mr Baker! If you're on a budget then six hours for£12 on download has to be a bargain. These are set around the time of Taloms of Weng Chiang and are very new much light listening. I think the opener benefits from some memory of ark in Space, but its not essential. By contrast, even with the discount, the PH set remains firmly out of my price range.

Signs you are addicted to Big Finish: when you already own everything on sale.
Except for the PH, which is still more than I want to spend right now.

I don't own everything on sale....Big Finish just never seems to put the stuff on sale I need. Well actually that's not true but the sales that benefit me have become less and less frequent.

I almost always buy direct from Big Finish because I like to support them but even on sale the PHP set is at an alarming price. I bought it from another vendor at a much lower price. I just couldn't fork over that much for one set. =/

I can't even remember the last sale that benefited me but for those of us caught up on all the ranges we want (I'm dropping Vienna this year), the pre-order prices being lower kinda are our sales The greatest day was May Day 2013 when EVERYTHING on the site including subs and pre-orders were available with 10% off, free-post. I spent hundreds and hundreds, only recently have I stopped receiving pre-orders from then.

I only preorder my must haves (that if I know ppl will listen to this before me I will die. Okay that may be a tad over dramatic) But I do save certain titles for sales. I love the joy of a good sale and I don't need everything immediately.

I think it being before your time and not needing to pre-order everything are linked - people like myself, Mark, Simon and a good few others have no holes to plug and have been up to date and current with this stuff for years now so the outlay of keeping up isn't so bad. If I had to start as a BF fan now...wow. I don't know how I'd do it. I think there are nearly 500 Who releases across the ranges not including spinoffs...trying to manage those AND preorder stuff on spec? My pockets aren't that deep!

Yes and there are still a lot of old stuff I want. My big thing is a Seven/Ace/Hex sale. I'd also love to catch up on Jago & Litefoot but even when there are sales I can only buy a few at a time. I feel Ill never catch up.
