As this is my favourite series it would be nice to know when it is due out.

I must admit, I echo the OP's feelings. This is purely speculation of course, but I don't think it will be released for a while yet, purely because I'm sure if there was a chance of a release, it would have been available for Big Finish Day last Saturday. To ease the waiting time, I've been listening to the fourth set - which is brilliant of course, especially the 2nd and 3rd story. Yes, we have no bananas!

I know this is a repeated grumble - but Big Finish really NEED to have set release dates.

I know this is a repeated grumble - but Big Finish really NEED to have set release dates. Aren't the release dates ALL the last day of the month? Hence why Amazon don't get a single BF release this month till the 31st and next month till the 29th and so on. It's a bonus if you order direct to get it earlier.

I'd forgotten that, but it's not really stated on the the website anymore which is confusing for new customers - and not a good move with the revival series releases.

You're 100% right, I only know it as a long termer, it's not perhaps common knowlege about their release date policy. they're redoing the website, I'd make that prominent FAQ info rather than buried somewhere. They just need to say "All titles are released on the last day of the month to retail. This means we may not release any title until the last day in its month of release although we try to release our products earlier in the month where possible" or something. I'm kinda resigned to The Avengers Lost Stories not getting any hype or build at all. There's a new 60s spy-like series taking up BF's time I'm sure though they'll use the Peel boxsets as a soft reboot of the range as thats really more of the fantastical Avengers that many people know better. Personally I think the Emma Peel days are the worst but then...I'd be down for some Cathy Gale action

I would never have thought of Olivia Poulet for Peel and then I think "Makes sense" when she's cast - so I guess BF do the casting thing better than me (I should hope so anyway!) Off the top of my head? Lucy Punch.

Just to check is it still pretty stand alone? I've not got 3 and 4 yet as I'm waiting for a sale (Yes big finish that is a hint to do a sale on them this weekend).

Yes, it was a very episodic show and you can dip in and out. All you'd need for background is Keel's fiance was murdered in ep. 1. He's an idealist while Steed is very pragmatic about getting results (and is much, much less whimsical than the later Steed). I'm excited to hear Girl On The Trapeze on this set as this is the only intact episode of the TV Season 1. Will be fun to contrast and compare approaches and performances.

I've already seen all the existing season 1 footage. It will be interesting to spot the differences Thanks

You're forgetting the Frighteners, that exists too. And will be in box 6!

Ive a question about naming conventions - Steed and Mrs Peel, the obvious, now should it be Steed and Keel or Steed and Dr Keel just to keep with the Steed and Title X style?
