So we know when Nick approached ITV for Thunderbirds they offered him The Prisoner as a counter-offer. Initially they wanted him to do a continuation of the 2009 reboot with Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellen.
Do you think this could have worked at all? The 2009 series is perceived to be awful but reviews weren't quite that bad - not good but certainly not atrocious.
What would you do in this reboot? Or would you change it up again and try something unlike either the 60s OR 2009 one?
For me, a flaw with the 2009 series was McKellen. Part of The Prisoner lore is that No. 2 changes so 6 can never build a rapport. He has to start all over again each time. Wheras with the 2009 show, it was Jesus Vs Gandalf for 6 eps. It also decided to give the show an actual ending, very different to the 60s one. It didn't work for me but did make a statement in its way.
I suspect not many have even seen it so if so, what would your ideas be for your own Prisoner reboot?

I bought the reboot on DVD 2nd hand from Amazon, and thought it was pretty good in the desert village setting. It was slated by the traditional Prisoner fraternity - and there was shades of that prior to BF's release also - but as a seperate series that used some of the original elements it was ok.
Im not quite sure how it could be re-made, but hey it's been a tough week and im a bit jaded in the old thinking department. Interesting to see what peoples ideas are though.

I thik you've hit upon one very successful area of the show - the setting. You won't beat Portmerion but the desert was a nice contrast. The Village itself had lovely designs and memorable features. I think it was filmed in North Africa.
