After watching that trailer, I’m still not convinced we need another Matrix film. I just know they’re planning this to be the start of a whole new trilogy and quite frankly I’m dreading it if that turns out to be the case. Called it ages ago Trinity the One not Neo. Looks another wokefest if you ask me & two amazing actor's are absent. Why a 'wokefest', because this time the lead doesn't have a penis?

Oh, man, the Matrix. From some of the reviews I've read, it sounds really interesting. Definitely looking forward to watching it eventually... though I should probably try watching the 2nd and 3rd movies, first. Never actually got around to watching those, though I did watch the Animatrix.
I do wonder if this reemergence as a viable IP might see some of the old game(s?) come back. I used to have an old Xbox, and there was a Matrix game for it I really liked, but the box died before I could finish it. I don't actually remember if the game was any good (i was too young) but id love to see it remastered, if only because the whole "Matrix aesthetic" is stylish AF,

Nolan movies were awesome & this looks to be as good as them, Batman is a dark character & Gotham a f..ked up city it not meant be sunshine & rainbows that's more Superman. I had doubts about Roberts casting but they been quashed, he looks the part.

A abomination of a movie & a two finger salute to Matrix fans, i think there two Matrix games both were excellent. I recommend The Riddick games on Xbox both excellent.

I think if anythin, it looks like the Arkham video games in live action. Its too fantastical to be Nolan-like.
Its fun for me as half that trailer is stuff shot here in Glasgow. So when Batman and Catwoman are on the roof, they do so with the hospital I spent 3 weeks with pneumonia in behind them! With Flash, this and Indiana Jones all filmin here, its gonna be fun spotting all the places I frequent in blockbusters. The last Fast & Furious you can see my office in one chase when they filmed here.

I've read a handful of articles that make the new Matrix movie sound really interesting, and then I see people quote the film and--I'm sorry, but there's no kind way to say this--the dialog sounds insipid. Assuming they're not paraphrasing, I suppose. But, yeah, I'm in no rush to watch it or any other movie. I don't go to theaters and I don't pay theater prices to "rent" streaming videos, so it'll be a while yet before I'd be able to watch it.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I am not a movie buff by any means but all of the Wachowski’s films strike me as being victories of style over substance. The Matrix was only revolutionary in the way it looked rather than it what it was saying; Speed Racer managed to be a live-action cartoon; Jupiter Ascending was not brilliant but I was at least entertained by it. I think that if they understood acting and writing a little better they would be considered true auteurs but I rate them about as highly as I rate Zac Snyder or Russel Mulcahy: technically competent, flashy and interesting but a few steps away from being genuinely great.

Definitely. The Matrix is probably their film with the most actual subtext, but it... is not very subtle, and the script only serviceable. It just lands so well because of the fantastic spectacle and the core appeal of its Big Idea premise.

You missed out Bound. A really good LGBTQ modern noir.

I’m actually surprised Disney is leaning heavily towards the whole split personality aspect of Moon Knight’s character. I honestly thought they’d discard that completely.
After all, let’s face it having a mentally ill bordering on borderline psychotic vigilante isn’t exactly keeping up with the MCU brand.
