That was really, really good. I loved every single story in this box set. My favorite right now is a tie between The Starship of Theseus and The Conscript but that's no slight to Echoes of War and One Life, which were both excellent. Every story in this set had some unique aspect of the Time War to explore, I thought, and it was greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to more of this next year.

Just listened to The Starship of Theseus; great stuff. I enjoyed the portrayal of more high concept, temporal aspects to the Time War. I thought the buildup to the Daleks was really good and hooray that they’ve finally got the post-2005 extermination effect!
I don’t mind the use of the War Doctor theme as it sounds like a slightly different arrangement to me, as though there’s extra effects over it. A bit like how the Voyage of the Damned and The Snowmen themes differ to the 2008 and 2013 series, respectively.
As for placement in the Eighth Doctor’s era. I think all of the existing Time War stuff comes prior to this, with the Doctor on the fringes of the War and taking time out from it after the events of All Hands on Deck. At least that’s my interpretation at the moment.

Binged the rest of the set. {Spoiler} Great set overall. The Time element of the war used to great effect and the ending was suitably downbeat for a Time War story. The Eighth Doctor's place in the war is set up nicely and Bliss is great. Bring on the next one.

The Starship of Theseus works if for no other reason than it lays down the stakes in a war of time. Good stuff. Great first entrance for Bliss.

No spoilers please, but quick question for those that have listened to it- Does the Doctor make any references to past adventures/companions?-i.e I'm wondering how long after Doom Coalition this is set and whether there are any hints at the DC follow up...

That is a really great trailer would work well on TV, although it's a little sad The War Doctor no longer has a theme of his own, it's an epic arrangement that works well to cover the whole time war i.m.o.

From what I've listened to so far, apart from a passing mention of The Faceless Ones (of all things! But it definitely needs more love ), nothing relating to anything that could be post-DC

This was a fantastic set. Much like the War Doctor releases, it is hard for me to choose a favourite episode. I can't wait to see what they do with the next volume as they've set a really high bar.

The Starship of Theseus - A Dorney classic, really enjoyed this. I think that Dorney really gets the 8th Doctor and I always really look forward to when he writes for him. It helps that McGann is, for me, the best audio Doctor and always delivers.
This box set is off to a strong start.

Not bought a box set since Doom Coalition 1 so was very pleased I took the plunge again with this. Made the time war battles interesting. Hope they can keep that up across three more box sets.
Not done the War Doctor yet, so don’t know how they handled it.
Just a shame the next one is a year away.

It's just 8 months away Okay that doesn't make it any better T.T Btw, what does everyone think the release schedule is going to be? July for the Time War and October for DC follow-up sounds likely. Unless they do three 8th Doctor releases a year, in which case, March and October as per usual for the DC follow-up. Btw, I don't think this has been posted here; Big Finish replied to a tweet asking when we'd get more info about this series and they said the scripts are being finalised and once it's in the studio "all will be revealed".
