So I had no idea Jason Heigh-Ellery & Gary Russell were behind Planet 55 who did the animation for Tenth Planet & Moonbase. Wow that's pretty cool. And now I read they are producing their own animated 26 episode sci-fi series. And Alexander Vlahos is in it. I don't recognize the other voices right off the bat but maybe they are also Big Finish alums... www.abccommercial.com/contentsales/program/prisoner-zeroplanet55studios.com.au/prisoner-zero/As someone used to anime the animation isn't really to my style but I like that the story sounds ambitious. I kind of want to see this. Right now it says April 2016 as a release date but I think the trailer dates back to 2014 so I hope this is still happening.

I would love to see some.of Big Finish 's material animated like that, but I'm guessing it'll never happen for rights reasons.
Maybe with some of the original ranges like Vienna, Charley Pollard, or so, but then, I bet they'd need a broadcast deal to be able to afford it.

Gary Russell spoke all about Prisoner Zero at his panel at LI Who. He showed clips and told a lot of anecdotes about the creation of this show, which sounded like a pretty big undertaking since it's completely produced in Australia, which seems to be unique. It looks really good.

I don't really remember what the panel was called, sorry. It wasn't the Big Finish beginnings panel. I missed that one. He also told a number of very funny stories about his first few months living in Australia and dealing with the varied and sometime dangerous wildlife.

I think he was exaggerating a bit. But I'm sorry I missed it.

He showed a photo of probably the biggest spider I've ever seen on the wall of his bedroom. It was pretty creepy and he was really funny about it.

I love the animation for this. Either this of Animeesque is what i'd go for, for my Doctor Who Animated idea (yes i'm still plugging, coming up with ideas for that lmao)

So apparently the first two episodes of this premiered at Gally. Twitter responses are positive. Like I didn't need more reasons to be jealous of Gally attendees. edit: And there is a new trailer up planet55studios.com.au/prisoner-zero/
