I do kind of miss having that classic platformer trinity of Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Sly Cooper. It's a bit trickier to find platformers like those in the current market these days. I am keeping an eye on Toys for Bob, though, after a recent watch of Crash Bandicoot 4. I think they've nailed the homage there. The balance of what it feels like to play those older games and what current consoles can do hardware and software-wise to increase the variety.

Ok so on the advice of Digi i gave Doom Eternal another try & perceived throughout the games opening insane difficulties & to be fair once you upgrade & add new weapons it does get easier i still think the jumping mechanics could be improved but the gameplay is brutal. Must admit my initial first impressions of disappointment was wrong & I'm glad i given it a second chance as it's a excellent FPS. Nice one Digi.

Started playing "Chicken Police- Paint it Red". Wow. This is right up my alley. Noir style crime/ detective visual novel. Fantastic art style. Wonderful shady characters. Great music. Near perfect.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Quite a departure from the usual brawler style gameplay, but all the melodrama and goofy antics that make the series fun.

Started Assassin Creed Valhalla have to admit it's a underwhelming experience so far, not feeling the characters or story.
Got Cyberpunk, Watchdogs Legion, MM Spider-Man to play as well although not playing Cyberpunk until patched.

I'm a recent Animal Crossing convert, not really a game in the traditional sense but such a relaxing experience.

Booted up my old Playstation 2 a few weeks ago for the first time in several years, still in a good working condition.
Been revisiting some of my old favourites (from PS2/PS1): Age of Empires 2, GTA Vice City, Medal Of Honor: Frontline, The original Spyro The Dragon trilogy, Lord Of The Rings: The 3rd Age etc.
Although I've always enjoyed gaming, I've never done online gaming and the most recent console I own is a Playstation 3, but I'm happy with the old classic most of th e time.

I know I am 10 years late to the party. But finally made myself sign up for Star Trek Online. I have never in my life before played an MMO, I am a strict single player. And from reading reviews it seems that you can play the story missions pretty much by yourself. I was just curious seeing the content featuring all the original actors. This was pretty much why I signed up, to get some more time hanging out with Worf, Martok, Tom, Harry and the others.
I am certainly not in it for drama and "toxic communities" and immature idiots insulting my play style online (I have ZERO hand eye coordination and won't be of any use in any "raid", and there is no way I will ever "get gud" in this life or the next).

Having not played it since before Christmas, I thought it was finally time to pick up The Last of Us Part II and finally complete the permadeath run (easiest difficulty, of course). I had started the run when I last played, but Ellie decided that instead of grabbing onto the ladder that took her back down to ground level, simply teetering off the edge and plummeting to her death was the most obvious course of action. I lost 35-45 minutes because of that, and it's taken me this long to build up the courage to face the game again I only died once more during the run, and it wasn't my fault that time either. All Ellie had to do was grab the ledge I was making her leap at, but no! She decides to brace herself against it instead, once again plummeting to her death. It's almost like she has a death wish or something... Anyway, I completed the run and picked up the last launch-day trophy at the same time, so I've officially platinumed the game! I've mixed feelings about that. I'm glad that I've put the work in to say I've done it, but I'm also very sad that there's now nothing new to work towards. Thinking about it, maybe that's why it had taken me so long to start up the permadeath run again... Fingers crossed that there's some sort of Last of Us Part III to look forward to in the years to come. I'd hate to think this is the last we'll ever see of these characters

Gone back yo playing the classics Batman Arkham Asylum. I still believe it’s the best in the series so atmospheric Arkham city is great too

Worth getting i originally played these on XBox 360 after not playing games or over 10 years due to my OCD, My cousin brought me as well as the then three Arkham games & Assassin Creed 1 & 2. Arkham Asylum was my return too gaming & been back being a hardcore gamer since. I also like Origins which is overlooked the last game i hated the ending as well as other plot issues.

So inbetween Arkham I'm playing Spider-Man - Miles Morales & while its a entertaining action packed game with a good storyline it gets letdown by 8 hours completion time which takes the p.ss or a £50 AAA game.
Should be at least a 15 hour campaign like the excellent previous Spider-Man game.

I didn’t like origins as much but that was mainly because of how buggy it was at launch would like to retry it, especially looking back. Arkham Knight i did enjoy i mist say, the villains as well as the main mechanic if the game really worked for me but it probably isn’t a worthy successor to one of the greatest games of all time, still good tho.

Resident Evil 0, bloody gone back to typewriter/ink ribbon saves.
I remember playing 1-3 on PS1 late 90's & swearing throughout which is what I'm currently doing playing this.

Inbetween Res Evil 0 playing Dead Island Riptide, average graphics but the gameplay awesome, never has decapiting zombies with various weapons been so much fun.

I started Wolfenstein: The Old Blood a couple of months ago and managed to finish it last weekend. Had a great time playing, I thought the alternate history was very well done and fascinating and the locations and weapons varied.
Have managed to grow the odd hour throughout this past week playing the immediate prequel, The Old Blood. I liked it, but I’m so glad I got it via Xbox Game Pass and I didn’t pay for it outright. It’s glorified DLC that they try to pad out with Challenges (that you technically play as part of the campaign anyway) and Nightmare levels, which are just ports from the original Wolfenstein and hold little interest for me. I finished the campaign in 5 and a half hours having got a substantial amount of the collectibles, all perks bar one and did half of the Nightmare levels.

Yeah decent FPS games, I'm currently a PS4 gamer but started my gaming comeback on Xbox 360 & it's very likely I'm going back X box because not happy direction Sony going & Xbox own Bethesda & RPG my favourite type gaming. You ever played the Dead Space games? I loved them on the 360
