Middle Earth: Shadow of War No wonder Christopher Tolkein stepped down. He saw the future of his father's legacy and it is this game and it is the Lego Sauron in the Lego Batman movie. It's very much like the original Shadow of Mordor game, but even more next level bonkers. Near the end of the first act I {Spoiler}teamed up with an assassin dispatched by Galadriel to protect Shelob from the Nazgul. Not strictly faithful to the Tolkien legendarium, but a heck of a lot of fun. Christopher Tolkien is also in his 90s, I think he’s earned retirement regardless of the state of his dad’s IP

I imagine that he was starting to feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.

Awesome game, i can't wait for the second to be released. It should be interesting because the 2nd is apparently a prequel set 20(?) years before with a much bigger map, the original game really sold the idea of the last dying days of the Wild West, number 2 will be set when the Wild West was at its height so there should be more wilderness, wild beasts and different weapons etc, only with a more advanced game engine, hopefully it will complement the first games brilliance but bring its own new tone.

To be fair I don't think the Tolkien Estate has any say in the videogames etc, I think all those rights are owned by the Saul Zanetz company, and the published Silmarillion wasn't entirely faithful to JRR Tolkien's ideas and wishes, great book though, but I wouldn't call it a fun read...

My niece and nephew are staying with us for a little while and they have conspired with my daughter to turn the Sims 4 into some kind of hellish murder simulator. My wife walked in them dressing Sims in clown costumes and drowning them and then she walked right out again.

Not a video game in the normal sense, but I'm curious to know if anyone has played this: www.decisionproblem.com/paperclips/It was going around the internet a month or several ago. Kind of amusing.

Super Mario Odyssey. Hugely addictive game. You start playing that, and before you know it you've been playing for an hour already. Nintendo always know how to make a great game!

Don't forget Golden Axe Oh golden axe, I spent all my 18th birthday money on it in the arcade just trying to complete it. i never took to the console versions, and I did get on for the iPad but my memories are better than the reality! did anyone here ever play the arcade game of willow? My mate and me loved it and both of us spent a weeks wages on it.....happy days when you could do that without worrying about bills

Well I just set up my new Ps4 and have celebrated with playing The Nathan Drake Collection. I do love the Uncharted Games. Also have purchased a bunch of games from the PS store as they are having a gigantic sale.
