Hey everyone,
If you could reimagine any franchise, what franchise would that be?

I would reimagine Fantastic Four as an MCU Disney/Marvel 80s feel good blockbuster-style movie in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Once upon many moons ago, I would've said Planet of teh Apes, but now... they did it about as well as anyone could've.

LOST.....
Deliver on all the potential of seasons 1 & 2 and give it a proper ending that makes sense!

I would have said The Prisoner, but without being sycophantic Nick's done it well on audio, and Mark Elstob shines as Number 6.

LOST..... Deliver on all the potential of seasons 1 & 2 and give it a proper ending that makes sense! Oh yes!! One of the best beginnings EVER, and most infuriating follow-throughs. A revamp--starting with the monster (the "black smoke" idea just never felt right! Even a T-Rex would have been better!) and then a clear direction of how the series is going to unfold. It all felt really unfinished and too confused--like even the writers had no idea what they were doing.

Quatermass. Fourish seasons, eight episodes a season.
Season 1: BRG building the atomic engine, weird stuff is happening (adaptation of X:The Unknown). Season 2: BRG about to test engine, Quatermass discovers someone has built his moon habitat on Earth (adaptation of Quatermass 2). Season 3: Adaptation of Quatermass Experiment. Season 4: Pit.

Dune as one of those big budget television series. Starting off with the original book and eventually ending with God Emperor of Dune to avoid the cliffhanger. Considering other adaptations, I think it would be wiser to start on Arrakis and add the scenes on Caladan in later as the narrative warrants it. You could start each episode using a quote from the beginning of each chapter, spoken by the actress who is to play Irulan.

Season 2: BRG about to test engine, Quatermass discovers someone has built his moon habitat on Earth (adaptation of Quatermass 2). With the film ending on Earth or the television ending in space?

Hmm... I rather liked the film ending, although you could use the TV series ending as a seque to "Experiment"... just not have Q in space.

The film ending's certainly got that cinematic punch to it with the habitats bursting like boils. The television ending's a lot more visceral, betrayed by the only other person with you and left alone on a hostile airless rock. Then again, why not both? Quatermass is there on Earth in pressure control and rather than the rocket blowing up, it achieves its goal and begins its return journey to Earth. Only to be intercepted by the aliens from "Experiment". Then you could have the added fear of mistaken identity, these aren't the aliens we as the audience are expecting. I seriously want this to be a thing now.

I liked his more seasoned Paul from Messiah who feels like a man of the people and the actress who played Jessica does a really nice job at the Waters of Life scene, but I think the budget really hurt the aesthetic of it. I missed the grandeur of the novel and the quiet power behind each House's scheming.

Quantum Leap. I'd probably keep it pretty similar, but maybe more than one time traveler, maybe a little more arc-heavy, probably more complicated time travel-wise. And it would be a continuation rather than a straight reboot.

Ohh good lord yes. if they feel the need to spice things up with action, there's TONNES of referee to but unseen action in the books (the Atreides backed Fremen raid on Geidi Prime where Gurney rescues his sister, the lasgun incident during the dinner, Duncan pallying about with the Fremen etc...) I'd go so far as to break the first book up into two seasons (up until Paul and Jessica are rescued by Stilgar for season 1).

I'd go so far as to break the first book up into two seasons (up until Paul and Jessica are rescued by Stilgar for season 1). That was my thinking too. You could space out the machinations on Arrakis with all manner of set pieces if the episodes get a little too slow, almost all feed into the ongoing plot in one way or another. Dune Messiah and Children of Dune strike me as essentially being two halves of the same story, so having those spread unevenly across two more seasons could work rather well (with a heavier emphasis on Children). I'd want that same feeling you get from Blade Runner where the story slowly slides from centring around Deckard to Batty with Paul and Duncan. I have this very vivid image in my head where the two of them grip one another's arms at some point after the assassination. We start on Paul who has reached out, before panning across to Duncan who takes it and the camera focusses on him as he releases. No words, but the audience is now keyed up for the change.

I'd go back and redo both Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda and Earth Final Conflict. Both shows had loads of promise in their first seasons, but the producers ruined it at the end. I'd remake both first seasons 90% as they were on screen then, for Andromeda I'd do Robert Hewitt Woolfe's Coda story, which was vastly superior to what we got (Even though i did enjoy parts of it) and then for Final Conflict, i'd take elements of what went on in Seasons 2-5 and combine them into a cohesive whole and not discard elements with promise

It's been a while, but... Hmm... Earth Final Conflict is definitely one of those series that felt a bit muddled. I really enjoyed seeing humanity's reaction to the Synod's arrival, I wish we'd explored that across various cultures and communities with more care and in greater depth. Episodes where a guest character was usually centre-of-focus like The Twilight Zone with our recurring cast in the background taking centre stage every five episodes or so. Seeing it from the perspective of scientists, scholars, mystics, criminals, spies, artists, etc.

Thats how you found out i was on the Ex Isle forum lol (Havent actually been on there in a while tbh lol) But yeah that would make so much sense with Final Conflict. You could cut out those randomy sort of episodes from Season 1 and replace it with those. And also I'd bring in the concept of Evolved Atavus (The Season 5 ones but explained in a different way) earlier and have more Kimera survivors. and I'd have in my Season 2 Boone and Sandoval fighting over Liam (who would still be a child for most of the Season) as two surrogate fathers, with Sandoval having more of a claim as it was his body that was possessed at the time.
