In my attempt to pace myself with BF, I've gotten around to listen to this one. It's terrific. The set up itself could easily have just been base-under-siege style but it's all done so well that the tropes never jar. I'm glad I didn't listen to this at the time as there were a couple of elements that were a bit too much like Under The Lake/Before The Flood for me to have not compared them a bit much if I'd heard it closer together rather than a year apart. Purely co-incidental, of course, but when both are putting new spins on the most classic of Who models, a similarity isn't a surprise. I also got an echo of Silent Running, one of my favourite sci-fi films.
Like everyone else, I loved Hargreaves and was hoping against hope that he didn't have to return with the Aquitaine's crew to explain events.

I finished listening to this one several days ago. It was an engaging story, seemed likely there were time jumps going on from very early in the story, but it was interesting to puzzle through exactly how they were happening. Like many others, I loved the character of Hargreaves. (Sorry about Butterworth, but he hardly showed up enough to make an impression. ) And I also wondered why it is that Nyssa is always the one infected and/or possessed. Tegan was great in this. Good story overall.

This is a story that really grabbed me from its opening moments when I first listened-from Tegan’s sarcastic comment about NOt having to hold on to the Tardis console and perhaps (Davy) the scene was set if you had previously loved Silent Running. You have the wonderful Hargreaves and an interesting mystery set up .One of the favourites definitely

I never really appreciated this one. It was released at a time when I had other things going on, so when I put it on, I was hearing it, rather than listening to it.
I've re-listened to it several times since. It is a really good story, which forms part of a very, very strong trilogy for Davison (which hasn't been bettered yet - the 1st Marc trilogy comes close). It is very claustrophobic and the timey-whimey element is good and based on real science - clearly would not have been out of place under an early Season 19 story. Hargreaves is a good character, but he does become a bit annoying at times.

I think Kamelion was more a case of untapped potential that was never properly utilised in either Big Finish or the television series proper. Also doesn’t help that the only person who knew how to operate the blasted thing never left any notes behind before he sadly passed away.

Another in my top Davison stories. I just adore this one. I would love to have Hargreaves back in another story, he's wonderful.
