So I just started listening to Series 2 of Jago and Litefoot and am currently listening to the Necropolis Express. From where I'm at it's obvious that Gabriel Sanders isn't dead and Ellie is going to become a vampire. I'm loving the set and I want to see what people think. The reveal at the end of Litefoot and Sanders that Ellie is dead made me get a bit teary eyed it was done so well.

I know nothing is perfect, but this remains my very favourite series of Jago and Litefoot. Terrific stories, brilliant turns from the leads and an EXCELLENT villain. Funny and terrifying - so a 'perfect' from me!

I thought, alas, that it fell prey to the curse of the Sophomore Effort. It's not at all bad, more consistent than Series One (by virtue of having nothing as mixed as Similarity Engine, though Necropolis Express lacks a proper ending,) but lacking its predecessor's spark. It's also lumbered with a rather unsatisfactory arc (though Mr. Collings makes a brilliant villain,) and casually kills off the promising character of Sacker in favor of the less-appealing (but perfectly fine) Ellie (whose survival and de-vamping is down to a handwave) Fortunately, Series 3 is a massive improvement, though I'm beginning to suspect that Andy Lane isn't very good at finishing up story-arcs (Mind, very few writers seem to be good at that...) The highlight of Series 2, IMO, is Theatre of Dreams.

I've only heard the first 3 sets so far but set 2 was my favorite as well.

For me the only thing that let this set down was the final story.
Looking back on **** ****** my scores were 9, 10, 8 & 7 which averages as a score of 8.5
Hmm I am now off to look up all the other box sets to see where this one rates...

I think series 1 to 4 we almost pitch perfect, series 2 & 3 have been my favourite of all.

I'm six series in so far and Series 2 is still my favourite. Although the introduction of Leela and other familiar faces in Series 3 & 4 works really well (who could ever say no to more Louise and Colin?), part of me will always prefer the earlier series when the stories were a bit more removed from the Worlds of Who.
