My personal opinion?
Although the Phantom Bride is as far removed from Collinsport as a refitted cruise liner in the middle of the Atlantic can be it is still a fun romp / ghost story with plenty of Tony/Cassandra banter thrown in (especially at the beginning)
As for The Devil Cat..think Agatha Christie meets British Hammer horror with a lovely nod to 70's and 80's American TV's depiction of the English as either speaking with London accents or as part of the landed gentry and you cannot go wrong. Plus the added bonus of Sarah Sutton playing a character at the other end of the scale from Nyssa of Traken as you can possibly get.
😊

TBH I was surprised at myself for reacting that way, but there you have it.

They sold the relationship between Tony and Cassandra effectively in their performances across the five stories, and let's face it Big Finish must have thought so too!

Oh dear and the write up for them looked interesting...still I will soon find out with regard The Phantom Bride as I’ll be listening to that tomorrow. I was glad that The Last Stop was the middle story in my Tony and Cassandra listen as it did feel different to the others and I am hoping for more banter between the two leads in the next two stories. It may just be me who isn't too fond of them. Report back when you have given them a whirl. The Phantom Bride has now been listened to and I enjoyed it as much as the previous stories. A very clever story structure to use Tony and Cassandra as the doomed lovers from the past, plus added even more Moonlight - will they won’t they. Great fun. Now onto the Devil Cat which sounds like I had better have the tissues ready...

All five finished and although they weren’t released as such together, they do make a very enjoyable set of stories.
Just like the others stories I really enjoyed the Devil Cat and I would be hard pushed to say which story was my favourite.
Question to those in the know - where in the timeline do the box sets fit in?

(3.1) The Mystery of the Grandest Order{Trivial Spoiler} In what world would you offer to pay for coffee that arrived at your table poisoned and drops 1 of your party dead? I get that they wanted to keep things on the down-low, but at what point would moral commonsense kick in.

Thanks to the latest warehouse clearance sale I should soon be the proud owner of the three box sets!
Now I just need to find the time to relisten to their first three stories.

I bought the bundle a couple of years ago as a download. Have really enjoyed them several times through... I'm sure you will too!
