The trailer and first cast announcements are now up.
Dark Shadows: Blood & Fire by Roy Gill.
A two-hour adventure celebrating 50 years of Dark Shadows!
“Some are born with magic, some acquire magic, and others have magic thrust upon them...”
The year is 1767. Young widow Laura Murdoch Stockbridge is to marry Joshua Collins, heir to the Collins fortune. Meanwhile, Joshua’s sister Abigail is in love with disreputable sailor Abraham Harkaway.
But the course of true love never did run smooth… especially when the witch Angélique Bouchard is around.
For Angélique has been sent back in time. And she has one mission…
To destroy the Collins family forever.
Featuring cast from the original television series, Blood and Fire is a special audio drama to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dark Shadows.

Fabulous! I'm very, very excited about this release. Thrilled to see John Karlen amongst that cast of wonderful actors... and I suspect there may be a few more nice surprises along the way!

Well I spy no Laura Murdoch Stockbridge in the cast list yet so there's presumably still at least someone going to be added.

Very very excited about this. Shame there's no Nancy Barrett, but wonderful to see John Karlen's name on the list. And Mitchell Ryan as part of a full cast for the first time since, what, episode 248 FORTY NINE YEARS AGO! Wonderful times indeed for DS fans

Interesting that although Joshua is getting married to the widowed Laura Murdock Stockbride that there is no actress portraying her. Sad not to see Nancy or Stephanie, but maybe they are busy enough recording for Bloodline. Happy to see back so many actors, and I hope some of them also show up for the next wedding as different characters in Bloodline.

On Facebook and Twitter this has been referred to as the 'first cast announcement', so there will either be more announcements forthcoming or, like with some other DS releases, some surprise guest appearances. I can think of at least one prominent male cast member who isn't currently listed but was at the recording (according to two other cast members).

It's quite nice since this audio also celebrates ten years of Big Finish Dark Shadows that it's called B&F.

So glad to have John Karlen back for the first time in ages. And Chris Pennock's inclusion is also a cause for celebration.
I'm intrigued that since they haven't announced the actress playing Laura, we can expect a special reveal of a certain Ms Millay!
Also, I wonder when this will be set for Angelique - Part of me thinks this will be set after the events of Bloodlust. She's probably been enlisted by the Dark Lord is kill the Collins family or something

That's such an amazing cast already I almost feel guilty wondering who else will make an appearance...
And as if things weren't already way beyond stupendous, James Storm too!

Oh hey is that Caleb "This is my Seaview Cottage" Collins? That particular Caleb Collins lived around a century after this one, as the 100 year stipulation in his will about the cottage was still in force. Would have been a nice parallel if the original Burke Devlin had played the man who stopped the future Burke from buying his home.

Just checked, on a hunch, and there's a Caleb Collins mentioned in 'The Crimson Pearl' as the son of Isaac Collins in 1700.

I think once on the old forums I asked if anyone had made a new family tree chart(s) for the Collins, Trasks, (Cuninghams?), etc that took the Big Finish audios into account. Seems like something like that would be useful right about now
