Thanks for creating this Thread
Can recommend all of those except UNIT Extinction don't know why it doesn't grab me.
My pick of these:
Obviously the early MRs are perfect for those on budgets (though its a crime that 25. Colditz, 48. Davros and 49. Master were omitted IMO)
Blood of the Daleks will get anyone hooked on the EDA's and in for one wild ride that hasn't let up including Dark Eyes and Doom Collation Boxsets Series.
Damaged Goods is a stunning example of drama period.
War Doctor (Sir John Hurt enough said)
LATE and the 6th Doctor The Last Adventure (both celebratory releases)
J&L and Strax (if you ever need cheering up this is the release for you) Regards

I read this part of Vortex with some interest, I was somewhat surprised that the Main Range releases were all from quite early in the Big Finish history, does this mean that jumping on points in the Main Range are increasingly far and between? Or are there other reasons for the absence of any story beyond #40 Jubilee?

Or are there other reasons for the absence of any story beyond #40 Jubilee? Its interesting that I could recommend several more from 40 to 100 for new customers.
The Pirates
Arrangements for War
Thicker than Water
The Harvest
The Juggernauts
The Reaping The Gathering
The Settling
The Kingmaker
Son of the Dragon
Frozen Time
But while most of them are excellent, I wouldn't recommend the linked trilogy's from 120-200 to new customers, (unless they were completeness which as DW fans they probably are), as some are very involved and some take ages too advance the overall arc, but I would the 4 in 1 story anthology releases made in that time.

I can agree with these recommendations, as the first few stories I purchased where Spare Parts, Jubilee, and The Chimes of Midnight. I must say, I'm a little shocked by the lack of The One Doctor on their list, though, as well as the simply phenomenal Davros, Doctor Who and the Pirates (my personal favorite Doctor Who story), The Fires of Vulcan, and The Marian Conspiracy! All of these stories would be very open to newcomers, I would think, and I don't think it's a stretch to say they're also fan favorites as well!

I just noticed that the "New to Big Finish?" range seems to have been removed and am disappointed. It was very useful to me when I started at Big Finish. In fact my first order was Jubilee, Spare Parts and Storm Warning. It's still there.

I understand picking from the first 50 for newcomers due to the low price, but I'm actually surprised by some of the choices. While a good story, I don't understand why Invaders From Mars is there when there are already two Eighth Doctor stories as opposed to the excellent Fires Of Vulcan since there isn't a Seventh Doctor story listed. I would have also had The Marian Conspiracy on that list. And as someone who listened to Dark Eyes as my first BF audio, I don't think it's a good choice for a newcomer. While the quality is amazing and I think it's one of the best things that BF have done, it completely spoils the end of the EDAs, and I was a little lost for the first 10 minutes or so when I heard it.

I looked at the "new to Big Finish" list when I first started looking at their site. But I never used it to guide my purchases.
