The books would appear to be BBC Worldwide publications, I suspect a cross promotion deal between BF and BBC Worldwide, the BBC themselves would not be allowed to enter into such an agreement.

Please don't post essentially the same information to both the obscure news thread and the updates thread.
The obscure news thread is supposed to be small tidbits of news and information collected from various sources that wouldn't otherwise be posted on other threads.

It's not quite Big Finish news, but Emma Beeby, who co-wrote several stories with Gordon Rennie including The Doomsday Quatrain and House of Blue Fire as well as the story My Brother's Keeper from the 1001 Nights anthology (the first story within the framing sequence), is one of the writers in DC's New Talent Showcase #1, solicited today to be released November 30th. Here is the solicitation: In this new one-shot, Wonder Woman unleashes her true god of war against a parade of monsters! Superman discovers a new threat that might be bigger and badder than The Joker himself! Hawkgirl solves crimes in the weird weapons unit for the GCPD! Carol Ferris and Kyle Rayner fight about ice cream in space! You’ll find all of this and so much more in NEW TALENT SHOWCASE #1, where recent graduate writers from the inaugural DC Talent Development workshop showcase some of their strongest work yet! See what they’ve learned from masters of the craft Scott Snyder, Jim Lee and Klaus Janson. It's an 80 page one-off, but a great way to try out new writers. I'm excited for the Kyle Rayner story, I'll take any Kyle/White Lantern material I can get.

Rather cryptic reply from BF on FB to someone asking about an exact release date for the final Dorian Boxset.
"All being well, there should be some news late next week"
Early release maybe for sometime this month?

I imagine this will be officially announced very soon, but as there is currently no news story on either the BF site or their twitter feed....some news directly from Barrowman: The text at the link in the tweet reads: Team_Barrowman @team_Barrowman CAPTAIN JACK IS BACK! Your the first to know. JB John Barrowman (Doctor Who, Torchwood,Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow) returns to the Doctor Who universe as Captain Jack Harkness in The Lives of Captain Jack, a set of four full cast audio adventures from Big Finish, made under licence from BBC WorldWide “I find it really easy to slip into Captain Jack,” laughs John Barrowman. “There’s a bit of Jack in John and vice versa. What’s great about these stories is that they’re the kind of episode we didn’t have time for on TV – exploring aspects of Jack that you’ve never seen before in a timey-wimey way. And getting to work with Camille was amazing. If you’re a fan of Captain Jack, or Torchwood or Doctor Who, then I say get them.” “We love John,” says producer James Goss. “He understands Captain Jack like no-one else, and easily provided the various versions of him – having just spent three days playing Torchwood Jack, he suddenly delivered preppy Time Agent Jack, Satellite 5 Jack, End of Time Jack, and effortlessly locked horns with Jackie Tyler. Watching him together in the studio with Camille was genuinely one of the happiest days of my life. We were so lucky to get John. www.bigfinish.com www.bigfinish.com/hubs/v/torchwoodedit; in case that tweet should disappear, a screenshot of it (attached). Attachments:

Still no news story or announcement from BF though, is there edit; And now there is a tweet from the Big Finish account, so this is no longer a page buried somewhere on their website, accessible only if you're looking

Hines impersonation of Troughton always impresses me, more often than not he gets the voice spot on, and he certainly get's the mannerisms right, you can tell how much he loved Troughton as a friend and colleague, it's quite amusing to see him do the actions and switch voices in the same scene. Still waiting to hear BF tell the 2nd/8th DR meeting Name Of The Doctor hinted at...

Still waiting to hear BF tell the 2nd/8th DR meeting Name Of The Doctor hinted at... Man I'm still waiting for the follow-up to the Sara Kingdom trilogy that Day of the Doctor hinted at, where it's the Third Doctor that gets summoned at the end of Guardian of the Solar System and Sara gets whisked back to UNIT and meets Mike Yates.

Wow, I always assumed he did the two characters separately and it was then edited together. That looks so difficult.
