For the Who fans, who like thinking about the issues that arise from time travel, and explanation that the Grandfather paradox is not a paradox at all, but it appears so due to incomplete knowledge/thinking.
Of course, the whole thing relies on the idea that time travel is possible, the grandfather paradox may not be a paradox for the simple reason that time travel is not possible.

I think one of my greatest disappointments in life was discovering that time travel is pretty much impossible.

Love! That guy is great. And loved his explanation of the grandfather paradox, even though my brain is now overwhelmed.

Much as I love Doctor Who and the time travel stories, if time travel were possible, I think the consequences would look far more like they do in the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy universe, only without the humour. I've always felt a sense of relief that time travel is probably impossible.

Another interesting twist on the subject: Have you ever read Pastwatch? Interesting take on what could happen if we could look into the past and influence it. It raised some questions and ideas I found fascinating.

Look guys I would use time travel responsibly: I'd go to a Beatles concert, see my favorite actors on stage who are no longer with us, and I'd tell Charles Laughton that time would vindicate his film Night of the Hunter so we could have more movies of his.

So only change the past a little right? Well that's OK, everyone just a little bit

Also with the Grandfather Paradox, i do love Futurama's way around it Whilst the episode plays on the idea of the Grandfather paradox, it never actually occurs, Fry kills his grandfather after his grandmother has already become pregnant with his father. The apparent paradox isn't so much got around, it just never arises except in the minds of the protagonists who don't know that Fry's grandmother is pregnant.

I googled to check my facts, maybe I went down a rabbit hole.

Although, again, if that's the case, what's actually being depicted is the bootstrap paradox, not the grandfather paradox.
