Personally I find the fill very dull and Lugosi pretty poor. I much prefer the Spanish version. I'm with you - Tod Browning was a solid director elsewhere but his Dracula was far too stage-y and suffered from a very flat perspective. The Spanish version has so much more flair and imagination in composition and shot. James Whale's work with Frankenstein made Dracula pale in contrast too. Frankenstein wasn't based on a stage adaptation so that must have helped and yes, it, 'Bride' and 'The Mummy' are the best of all imo. But while I don't disagree the Spanish 'Dracula' is a better version (the joy of blu-ray extras, some 'extra'!) & they took the time to tell the story more fully too, Browning's 'Dracula' has by far the best Dracula and he's got to count

For A Few Dollars More (1965) A fantastic film. Still holds up so well
Blades of Glory I love this film, laugh every time
Toy Story 4 A Fantastic epilogue to the Toy Story franchise. Cant believe it had been 9 years since the 3rd one
Brightburn A great Horror, although while it didnt take full advantage of its story, it went in some great directions

Dracula's Daughter (1936) A murder-mystery detective story, with an amateur sleuth (medical doctor turned investigator) and some sharp dialogue with his clever, attractive PA (not quite yet girlfriend) 'Hunting vampires? I thought you did that with a wallet!' The difference with other 30s detective stories is that the killer happens to follow in her undead dad's footsteps... {Spoiler}A good twist at the start with van Helsing being arrested for Dracula's murder. And one actually unsettling sequence where the artistic Countess ensnares a girl to model in her studio and then...
Was I the only one to see Luke and Vader as the Countess burned her father's (un)earthly remains?

The Shawshank RedemptionSomehow, even though these movies have the reputations they do, these classics still find a way to take me by surprise. This was really beautiful (took a while to think of the right word, but I feel that's it). Sure, it's got it's nasty moments (it was adapted from a Stephen King story after all), but by the end it is really beautiful. And the score! Thomas Newman isn't a name I'm very familiar with, but I wish I were! Everything about the last ten minutes or so is so incredibly moving. Sadly, I did know the majority of the twists in this (growing up in today's world, it's hard to avoid spoilers for movies made three years before you were born), but I don't think that detracted too much from my enjoyment of it. And, for once, I can say this ISN'T the only Morgan Freeman movie I've seen True, most of the others I've seen are the likes of The LEGO Movie, but it's still not my first Freeman And he is fantastic in this. Actually, everyone is. This is just a great movie. Anyone who hasn't seen it definitely should (take it from someone who's been told this for years - you want to see it!).

Wing Commander......why....Why....WHY DO I WATCH THIS AWFUL B' MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!
David Warner & David Suchet even feature in this atrocious movie along with several well known supporting actor's while Matthew Lillard plays Stu again from Scream & Fredie Prinze Jr shows about as much charisma than a wet lettuce.
I swear Uwi Boll directed this under another name 1/5.

Big mistake. I was rooting for the Kilrathi within half an hour!

The Shawshank Redemption... it's hard to avoid spoilers for movies made three years before you were born)... And the winner of today's "unintentionally making The Brigadier feel very, very, very old" is... 😂 I was in my mid twenties when the Shawshank Redemption was released waaaay back in 1994. One of the few films I've seen in the cinema where I've gone back the following week to watch it again. Happier times. Now.. where did I leave my zimmerframe? 😉

Awful movie, Matthew Lillard can only act Stu from Scream, Freddie Jr has zero charisma & like watching paint dry, there's several good actors in this the production budget must have printed blank cheques on this movie.

Freddie Prinze Jr is a pretty decent voice actor (Robot Chicken, Star Wars Rebels). Could just be down to the movie's awful, awful writing.

I'd have to be brave and do 'Bad Superhero Movie Review Season' sometime including 'Hulk', 'Daredevil, 'Elektra', 'Howard the Duck', etc.

Euphoria (2017)
(Provocative Drama, 2 estranged Sisters [Eva Green and Alicia Vikander] reunite when the older discovers she's dying and chooses a Dignitas type route. Strong performances all round, including Charles Dance and Charlotte Rampling as a patient and a long time staff member of the facility who help the younger sister reconcile herself with her siblings choice.)

Rock Star A fun Rock movie. You can still tell little its when it was meant to have been a straight Judas Priest Bio. But some great songs. And i forgot Myles Kennedy was in it

Both him and Matthew Lillard are both quite good actors, they just got horribly typecast in bad movies when they were first starting. Case in point Matthew Lillard is currently doing great work on Bosch.
