Why Do Fools Fall in Love? (1998)
A so so biopic about doo wop legend Frankie Lymon and the legal battle regarding his three wives that occurred after his tragic death. It’s alright. Little Richard makes an appearance as himself and practically steals the show but the fellow who they chose to portray Mr Lymon was far too old to being playing someone who is meant to be thirteen.
I do think the life and death of Frankie Lymon is definitely one of those interesting topics that could be explored via biopic form again.

Carry On Abroad (1972)
Despite having a soft spot for the likes of Carry On Behind, this really was in my opinion the last hurrah for the Carry On team. Features many a quotable line and Peter Butterworth practically steals the show as frustrated manager Pepe.

The Terrornauts. A very, very silly film. And I really enjoy it 😁

The Lighthouse
I no longer have any doubts about Robert Pattinson's acting chops. None. Zip. Zilch. Bring on any project he stars in from now on.

Birds Of Prey & Emancipation Of Harley Quinn, films best summed up as magnificent piffle. Wafer thin plot, over the top performances but features some great fight scenes & Margo Robbie is hot as she embodies the character of Harley Quinn. 4/5 Did i mention Margo Robbies hot? I have a thing for Australian women so lock up ya Sheilas.

Underwater Derivative in places but i still found this really enjoyable. Some good shocks and Kirsten Stewart actually does well. Though there are a couple of lazy jump scares. Wish there had been at least 20 more minutes at the start to introduce some of the other characters. Didnt realise that this had been sitting on the shelf for 3 years, but now this if officially the last film to be released under the 20th Century Fox Banner
The Lighthouse Holy S**t. This film is a trippy wonder. Its tense and creepy and Dafoe and Pattinson are great together. Its a great film that deserved to be nominated for more oscars

What a strange (in a good way) movie! Like the inbred mutant offspring of David Lynch and Guillermo Del Toro.

Lynch sprung to mind a lot watching this He only did briefly for me - what seemed much, much more of an influence on the whole thing from the monochrome, the tone, the surreal aspects with the madness inducing setting was Ben Wheatley's A Field In England. I really dug it but still think The Witch is Egger's best film of the pair so far.
