Junior just finished watching "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets".. he got a tiny bit scared at the end with the reveal of the big snake..
My gawd the cast in these movies....
He is 1/2 way through reading "Prisoner of Azkaban" so he won't be watching that movie for a bit..

"Late Night With The Devil".. It was filmed in Australia (Victoria to be exact- the neighbouring state to where I am).. Immediately I was playing "spot the Aussie actors".. pretty much all of them were.. Now.. I honestly seriously believe the writer/producer/director of this movie listened to Dark Shadows "Beyond The Grave".. This is a movie filmed in real-time/found footage almost style (when they cut to commercial breaks the screen goes black and white and it's almost hand held camera). It's So Much like Dark Shadows "Beyond The Grave" I am still deciding whether or not I liked the movie.. I can recall morning/afternoon Aussie talk shows being shown on tv here in the late 70's looking Verry much like this- so they got the accuracy right (Any Aussies remember Bert Newton show/Don Lane show/Mike Walsh shows/"Touch Of Elegance"? ) I am aging myself..
"A live television broadcast in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation's living rooms."

I enjoyed this but disappointed about the use of AI art.

Surely it's inspired by the BBC's Ghostwatch, which also inspired Beyond The Grave., rather than the audio? Ghostwatch was released on bluray in the US and UK a few years ago so anyone in film geek circles will have heard ot it by now.

The Sword in the Stone I forgot how good this film was. Archemidies and Merlin's bickering. Madamn Min and the Wizard dual.

Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. Embarrassingly bad. There's a scene with a villager giving gifts to the heroes, I guess the villager saw scenes we didn't that gave these people a personality?

Going to the cinema to see four films on the big-screen on your birthday's perfectly normal, right?... Oh, well this is awkward.
In other news, tomorrow I'll be seeing my 92nd film on the big-screen in 2024. Dang.

I have a laptop but it took awhile to get everything back up and running
However tonight we should be good to go and starting in on The Little Mermaid

Spirited Away in the theater. I own it on Blueray but have never seen it on a big screen. It was great.
Amadeus I haven't seen it since it came out in 1984, when I was 15. F. Murray Abraham is simply sublime in this. It's so good.
