Baby talk was a gag, not a focus. Craig thinking of him to stop the Cybermen was the episode's resolution (albeit a poor one), not the baby being a major focus. Brian Williams was in two episodes - Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and The Power of Three. God, forgot about Power of Three. The baby is the whole point of the episode. In fairness, you are right about the baby being the whole point of the episode. Personally, I liked little Stormy and didn't have a problem with that episode.

It's the completely awful and nonsensical use of the Cybermen.

The Cybermen are trapped, so they're kidnapping people in an attempt to escape.

Ahh, the power of love. Nonsense, IMO. If it was that easy, there wouldn't be any Cybermen.

That's probably the weakest Cyberman story IMO, but I do like James Corden and the lighter bits of it. I'm kinda sad that we didn't get a third episode with him more in step with the quality of The Lodger before he went and became a big talk show star.
Also I say "weakest Cyberman story" but I really mean it's tied with like five or six others 'cause maaaan the Cybermen are hit-and-miss.
(In fact, about two hours ago I was talking to a friend of mine and explaining that "The Silver Turk is a solid Cyberman story and there aren't a lot of solid Cyberman stories.")

Completely agree, i shouted at the tv screen when Craig escapes conversion because of love, what a load of soapy bafflegab.

Oh, come on: The power of love is a curious thing Make a one man weep, make another man sing Change a heart to a little white dove More than a feeling, that's the power of love Tougher than diamonds, whips like cream Stronger and harder than a bad girls dream Make a bad one good, mmm make a wrong right Power of love will keep you home at night Don't need money, don't take fame Don't need no credit card to ride this train It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes But it might just save your life That's the power of love That's the power of love First time you feed it might make you sad Next time you feed it might make you mad But you'll be glad baby when you've found That's the power that makes the world go round Don't need money, don't take fame Don't need no credit card to ride this train It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes But it might just save your life They say that all in love is fair Yeah but you don't care But you know what to do When it gets hold of you And with a little help from above You feel the power of love You feel the power of love Can you feel it? Don't take money, don't take fame Don't need no credit card to ride this train Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel You won't feel it until you feel You feel the power, feel the power of love That's the power, that's the power of love You feel the power of love You feel the power of love You feel the power of love

Wow, didn't know there were any more Hughie Lewis fans out there. Lol!
And in the whole song, the Cybermen aren't mentioned once.

Oh, come on: The power of love[...] I think you're mixing up your old-doctors-with-unreliable-time-machines-and-young-companions.

I saw this and like to think it's really that he's returning to The Doctor for some Big Finish releases next year.

I very much dislike the Daily Mail. 'Matt could be the first of the 12 Doctors to regenerate.' What does that even mean? Most depressing of all are the comments - mostly negative, of course. Do these people really exist? (I don't mean to have a go at Fitzoliverj for providing the link, the way!)

The problem is that these cretins, and I won't tone that down, don't want Matt Smith back, they want the 11th Doctor back. If hypothetically both Smith and the showrunner were stupid enough to do this ever, (they're not) and no one else managed to talk them out of it, those self same peeps wanting Smith back would complain when Smith wasn't playing 11 but 13 or 14 or whatever. Because Smith = 11. Simple.
I suppose "precedent" is set by Tom Baker returning as the Curator in the 50th. Except the Curator most definitely ISN'T the Fourth Doctor.

This would open up such a bad can of worms that would haunt the show forever. The speculation about who the next Doctor will be begins the instant a new actor is cast. That poor actor has to contend with the constant questions about when they're leaving. I'm sure it's not the most welcoming feeling. If this were to happen, the speculation would not just be "Who will be the new Doctor?" it will be "Who will be the Doctor again?" As much as I love previous Doctors, this would poison the process of choosing new actors, which is one of the things that this 50 year old show does to stay fresh.
All that said, this is clearly a blown up rumor with no real basis.
And hopefully it does instead indicate that Matt Smith is getting closer to his Big Finish debut.

I foolishly forgot that this wasn't GallifreyBase... it's not compulsory to slag off the Mail on this forum.... actually this is a Daily Mirror story, which the Mail has regurgitated (citing the Mirror in the process. Digital Spy has done the same) (In any case, the nutters who post comments on the Mail website are no nuttier than those who post to the Guardian)

I'm not following any forum guidelines from Gallifrey Base in order to do so, just expressing my own opinion. I imagine there are people who have never heard of Gallifrey Base who dislike the Daily Mail. Yep, the Mail is citing an article from The Mirror, as outlined in the article you posted a link to. I realise that. You posted a link to The Mail, not The Guardian so I have no idea what kind of comments that publication provokes.
