I wouldn't have expected a reminder till Made You Look came out
maybe they're using it as a trial run for a reminders feature and just choose the wrong range.

I think it odd to receive a "subscription ending" reminder in a range where you subscribe by series, as opposed to a certain number of releases. In my opinion the former model makes a reminder unnecessary because when someone subscribes to a series they only want that series. If they wanted more series, they would subscribe again. (Remembering to 'renew' is much easier because they have the context of choosing a clearly-labelled, pre-determined set rather than choosing a certain number of releases.)
This differs from, say, a Main Range subscription which is based on subscribing to 6 or 12 releases, starting from a point the user has complete control over. The lack of creator-determined (and clearly-labelled) divisions make it easy to forget that your subscription will expire next month.
I do realise that many Big Finish series are based on limiting ranges to an arbitrary number of releases per year (and may not have a series-arc). However, I still think there is a difference because the divisions are based on what the creator decides (not what the user chooses) which makes these kind of reminders unnecessary.

I got a subscription reminder for the Main Range over the weekend. Only thing is, I already bought the next 12 release subscription after the one I'm already in the midst of. Which is the one BF is reminding me to buy. When it sends me a reminder for the one after that, there's only 11 more releases to subscribe to. So I'm waiting for the range to be extended, so I can get another 12-release sub. I'm not convinced of the usefulness of the reminder function, at this point.

I think it's just automatic Ela, as I got one recently even though I am subscribed to late next year. But I did subscribe in groups of twelve so I assume that when one subscription group of twelve (or six) releases is reached, the e-mail is sent. Probably pointless, but easier to leave it on auto-pilot than miss somebody out who hasn't re-subscribed and have them miss out or start moaning they got no reminder!

I'm sure it's automatic, but it could be automated more intelligently, that's all I'm saying.

I’ve got you all beat. A week ago of so, I got a subscription reminder for Sarah Jane Smith season 2.
