First, as an aside, I really dig the Scarifyers covers. They clearly wear their Herge/E.P Jacobs DNA on their sleeve.
But to the actual matter, if they did BF audio dramas out of the Tintin comics, what stories would most like to see adapted, and do you even have a casting suggestion or two? Or if Tintin's not your thing, maybe Blake and Mortimer (Imagine Secret of the Swordfish or The Yellow M...).

BBC actually did a series of Tintin radio adaptations a few years back.

Just thought you might not know about them. They seem to have slipped under the radar a bit in recent years.
I'd welcome BF adaptations of pretty much anything. I think the only range I haven't tried is Torchwood. Casting Tintin would be difficult for me, the BBC audios, the cartoon series and the Spielberg film all had the same problem. As much as I enjoyed them, the voices weren't how I imagined them when reading the comics as a child. It's an oddly powerful mental block to overcome.

And well, I might as well say it:
I want Nick as Haddock. And Tom as Calculus.

Who would I cast as Tintin? Hard to say. Maybe Waterhouse could be good. Certainly any of the younger males at BF would be elligible.

So the boy's name is Tintin, ive seen him before, many times, but always associated the dog as Tintin, I thought it was like a spin off of rin tin tin who was an actual dog and a movie star way back in the very beginnings of television.
At least I learned something today.

Tintin goes back to my childhood. The first one I read was Red Rackham's Treasure. So many wonderful characters, like Professor Calculus and Bianca Castafiore. Can't forget the Thompsons, Thompson (with a P, as in Philadelphia) and Thomson (without a P, as in Venezuela).

Still waiting for Jackson's film on it too.

I love the subplot in Prisoners of the Sun where the Thompsons are trying to find Tintin, end up in places that reflect his current condition yet aren't where Tintin actually is. Like when Tintin is on a destablising platform of logs and the Thompsons are at the bumper cars at a fairground. Classic Thompsons, who couldn't solve a crime Tintin had already cracked. Peter Jackson is currently making the adaptation of the Mortal Engines. If I was still in Wellington and didn't have a job, I'd have gone to be an extra in the film.

Never liked him. Colonialist, racist nonsense.

Never liked him. Colonialist, racist nonsense. Only Tintin in the Congo qualifies, and any Tintin fan will concede it as the ugly duck of the series. Otherwise, that's a grossly innaccurate dismissal of a series which, by and large, doesn't have stronge political leanings and even has minority characters in prominent roles in stories like Prisoners of the Sun, Tintin in Tibet and The Blue Lotus.

So tokens then? We're not going to agree or find a middle ground on this, I've given my opinion which I'm not going to change (and I've endured many a lecture by friends who are fans) and you've given yours. Best part civilly on it
