I've only listened to Wheel of Ice, Trenzalore Tales and Engines of War so far, and they were excellent. The Audible previews of many others makes me uncertain about them. Shadows of Glass in particular sounds dull - India may be a great actress but she doesn't make a good reader.

Engines of War, The Wheel of Ice and Harvest of Time would be my top picks for Doctor Who novel audiobooks to recommend. They are all very good Doctor Who stories and they are read well by their respective narrators who really bring those stories to life.

I listened to The Roundheads last week, read by Polly, and it was really impressive, I never had to turn it up or down, and she did a really good job on 2, Jamie, Ben, and all the other parts, and there were lots of parts.
I'm looking for more books read by her.

Harvest Of Time, a superb audiobook read by the Master himself - Geoffrey Beevers.

I'm listening to Doctor Who and The Cybermen right now and it's a great listen. The music and sound effects really capture the creepy elements of the story.

Harvest Of Time, a superb audiobook read by the Master himself - Geoffrey Beevers. I agree, it was a very enjoyable listen. Personally I enjoyed it a lot more than the Third Doctor boxset.

I agree that the story might not be the best and turns rather too dark for my taste, but I was very happy with India's reading and would very happily buy another with her as narrator. Although I would still rather Big Finish employ her for more stories with the Eighth or Sixth Doctor. I still hold a vain hope that we could get a Memoirs of an Edwardian Adventuress companion chronicle style collection of stories one day.

Wheel of Ice was pretty good, it dragged a little bit, but was a very nice stand alone doctor who novel.
Got Harvest of Time ordered.
Also listened to Daleks Invasion of Earth, read by William Russell, I wasn't real impressed.

Loved Harvest of Time, a well-written story and great reading by Beevers For me, Harvest of Time is one of the best BBC Doctor Who audiobooks there is, Geoffrey Beevers really brings those characters to life. It's a well written Doctor Who story that really does deserve high praise. I love it!

Well, the Daleks Masterplan is pretty good, not an original novel, but it sure does help to make up for not having the episodes around anymore.

I mean 10 discs is a lot, and I'm only driving for 8 hours.

Harvest of Time is the best original audio book I've heard. Beavers is fantastic.

Harvest of Time is the best original audio book I've heard. Beavers is fantastic. Harvest of Time is great story from a great era of Doctor Who, as I mentioned above. It is a Doctor Who audiobook that I highly recommend, it really is great to listen to. Glad you enjoyed it.
