Listening to the extras on Beast of Kravenos last night it really made me think about what have become stock tropes or mentions for the interviews.
Take a shot when: Saying how great the script, director, other actors are Saying how lovely it is to work with [insert actor name here] Giving a brief summary of their character Talking about their first exposure to Doctor Who ("their" Doctor, previous work with Doctor actors etc) If it's a Dalek story, how the person would hide behind the sofa Brief history of recurring guest characters (especially for previous Big Finish appearances the rarely used Behind the Scenes tab on the product page would be great for links like this) And of course, mentioning the lunches

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

The first thing I thought of when I read your thread title was the lunches.

Do you think the BTS segments would be more interesting if the interviewees took shots beforehand...er, I mean...
Do you think anything is missing from the interviews, jb, or do you just think they seem too structured? Just curious as I haven't really heard a lot of them yet although I go out of my way to have them and am probably looking forward to a marathon of them someday (as with all those Who's Round podcasts I haven't got to either).
FWIW, I did very much enjoy the ones I've heard and I was impressed that even when someone is indeed going "Gosh isn't this just the best script ever?" they have been able to articulate precisely why the story is special for their character, and it's nice to hear that interest in how their characters are being handled. Moments like those as well as getting to hear how things actually worked in the studio through snippets of directing and so forth have been a big part of my motivation to collect the full length BTS stuff more avidly than other bonus material.

I guess I prefer things with more substance. Directors saying why they chose certain actors (background, particular talents, worked with main actors previously), writers talking about what inspired the scripts, how actors approached characters, that sort of thing. Something you could think about if you want to direct, write or act.

Take a shot when an actor:
Says they like audio because it doesn't matter what they look like (they get to play a character they wouldn't get to play on a visual medium because of their physical appearance), or some variation thereof.
Mentions how they like Big Finish's recording pace (quick, but still time to have some fun). This will usually be unusual / unexpected.
Talks about how friendly everyone is / Big Finish is like a family (and, because of this, they will want to come back).
Describes the studio layout: everyone in their own booth with seperate recording channels, booths in a circle so everyone can still see everyone.

I don't think anything else even happens in interviews. Go home folks. Thread's over. Time to get wobbly.

Drink when the following words are spoken (so you don't need to listen to full sentences as you get drunker): booth lunch Toby voice script wonderful audio .....you get the idea.

If not, then if you drink like that, you will be. That's a lot of booze. Just mentioning the lunches would net you a couple of shots per cd. Some of them I have heard, you would kill a case of Jack in just a few minutes.
