It's Tom Baker's 83rd birthday today - and to mark the occasion, we dip into our Doctor Who - Fourth Doctor range for 24 hours of bargains...
Happy birthday Tom Baker!
The Doctor Who legend is 83 years old today, so for the next 24 hours we've got ten Fourth Doctor releases at bargain prices - ending at mid-day (UK time) on Saturday 21st January.
Each story in the second series of Doctor Who - The Fourth Doctor Adventures is £2.99 on download and £5 on CD: The Auntie Matter, The Sands of Life, War Against the Laan, The Justice of Jalxar, Phantoms of the Deep, The Dalek Contract and The Final Phase. Enjoy this thrilling run of tales starring Tom Baker, Mary Tamm, David Warner, and of course Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks!
The epic ten episodes of Doctor Who - The Lost Stories: The Fourth Doctor Box Set can be bought for £30 on Download or £35 for the CD box set, while the luxury release Doctor Who - Novel Adaptations Volume 1 Special Edition (containing both Doctor Who - The English Way of Death and Doctor Who - The Romance of Crime) is £20 and £25 respectively.
Lastly, our 2016 collection of the 11 Destiny of the Doctors stories - Doctor Who - Destiny of the Doctor: The Complete Adventure - is available for £18 on Download and £20 on CD.
Bundles for the seven Series 2 stories of Doctor Who - The Fourth Doctor Adventures are currently available for just £20 on Download and £32 on CD. These offers end at mid-day (UK time) on Saturday.
Lost Stories and 4DA Season 2 and at that price the NA boxset are must buys IMO
Wonder why they made it a 24Hr Flash Sale?
Regards

Some good things on offer, especially the Series 2 bundle. I have everything but I am still tempted to get the physical CDs of Destiny of the Doctor (having previously subscribed to the downloads). Why would I do that? To save £10 of course . Happy Birthday Tom Tony

I have everything from this sale and there are definitely some good offerings - especially the lost stories box set. Happy birthday to Mr. Baker!

Happy Birthday, Tom!!!! Lost Stories and 4DA Season 2 are must buys IMO Agreed! Not likely to pick up anything from Season 2 at a better price, individually or as a sub (and tastes may vary of course but the 4th Doctor Lost Stories set and 4DAs2 are some that I found to be particularly enjoyable, although I thought the Novel Adaptations were very good too).

Yeah, I already own and have listened to them all as well... however, for those who have hesitated on dipping into the 4th Doctor Big Finish stories, this looks like a good deal on a good selection of releases.

Destiny of the Doctor already down £10 on the pre-order price just three months. I mean it was a great set so I didn't feel short changed but I'm a little annoyed this has already dropped down so much.
Already own everything in the sale.

Anybody else thinking we might get two more 24 hour birthday sales this weekend with different things on offer? Or am I being too optimistic?

I'm trying to decide whether to purchase this since it's at such a nice price right now. I suppose my hesitancy is mainly because it's not a full big finish production. I haven't been super impressed with the non-big finish doctor who audio I've heard. Are they similar to the companion chronicles? Is it worth picking up?

The first story is good but I can understand the negative reviews. The other 10 stories all have good reviews IIRC and I really enjoyed them myself. They are fully fledged Companion Chronicles under a different branding. One performer who is a companion (aside from Night of the Whisper, which is performed by Nick Briggs who is really good at a 9th Doctor impression) and another performer playing a new character. The only other oddity is Jenna Coleman performing the final story despite Clara not appearing in it. You're basically getting 11 Companion Chronicles for £20!

Exactly like the CCs and technically it was more BF then BBC production BF writers. mostly recorded at the Moat.

Tom Baker's BF birthday special was trending on Facebook when I left for work this morning.
It's still trending now that I'm home from a day's work.

I can definitely suggest Auntie Matter, Justice of Jalaxar and the Lost Stories as all three were absolutely top notch.
