Here's the rules, you only get 1 issue, an issue that you think could or should be a bi-partisan issue, something you think the president, the house and the senate could agree on, and pass by a huge majority. State your issue, make your case, and try to stay on topic.
Mine is human trafficking. That is my number 1 issue. People who kidnap, buy, sell, manhandle, and exploit other human beings. Some of the victims are sold into slavery, but most are just sold to be sex slaves. I have absolutely no sympathy for people dealing in human trafficking, to me, they are the lowest of the low, worse than terrorists, worse than murderers, rapists, and to me, the only kind of people who are in their league molest children.
I would like to see stiffer penalties for people convicted of human trafficking, and I would like to see it turned into a federal hate crime, as of right now, it is up to the states to impose whatever they consider appropriate punishment for human trafficking. Here is the list of states and the penalties.

Here are the laws defined by homeland security when it involves human trafficking.

I would propose a minimum sentence of 10 years for anyone pleading guilty, a minimum of 25 to life for anyone convicted by a jury, and a maximum of life without the possibility of parole. A mandatory registration to the sex criminal registration for anyone either pleading guilty or found guilty who is released. And I add the right to add to these penalties at a later date.
