I love feel good stories, stories about dogs coming home after being separated from their owners, long lost siblings meeting for the first time, and all kinds of others. I'm partial to veterans, especially WWII vets, ive been lucky enough to get to know a few rather well, and unfortunately all but 1 that I have known are no longer with us. Still here is one about a 110 year old vet, who gets to stay in his home for at least a little while longer. abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/110-year-world-war-ii-veteran-stay-home/story?id=45063399

When asked about the American flag, I tell my British friends, it's kind of like equating your queen to the flag. It represents the best of us. Thru all our trials and arguments, it is 'old glory.' And that's the best way I can explain it. You will never hear me utter a bad word about the Queen, to me that is disrespectful, just as trying to burn my flag, the flag that represents what hundreds of thousands have died for, is disrespectful to all of those who paid that price. I don't know if the Union Jack(which I respectfully call the United Kingdom's flag) means as much to you, as ours does to some of us, but if it does, i'd love to hear about it. This made my day, and is a feel good story, to me, and I hope to many, and it reminds me of the time Rick Monday intercepted a flag in the middle of the baseball field. This Fed Ex worker, is as much a hero as Rick Monday ever was, even more so, cause he faced the odds, and saved my/our flag, from being disrespected. wtvr.com/2017/01/29/fedexguy-saves-american-flag-from-being-torched/
