I display my cd's on the shelf in timeline order, not by range. It's great for deciding which era of Who to listen to. I did that once with my Main Range CD's, but all the higgledy-piggledy numbers wrecked my head when I looked at them, so I put them back in to numerical order...

I get mostly downloads, the occasional CD. I used to buy just CDS, but I don't have anywhere to put them.
I don't know any collector of; comics, music, books etc that hasn't had to sell off a lot of their collection for money or space.

I can't afford to have physical copies of things as I would desire. That, and I move far too often to want to worry about losing any copies.
That said, I'm not the sort to sell CDs when I have a digital copy. Give it away to a friend to encourage them to listen to whatever music or story, yes, but re-selling leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I only Get Downloads if they are only available that way. Like the Short Trips for example. But if the story came as a CD originally or was CD only, I get the CD I would be the same, having collected so many CDs I can't bring myself to kick the habit. I am what the marketing people would call a late adopter and that is the reason why. For instance, I am still soldiering on with lovefilm until it ceases on 31 October but will not be moving to streaming. I think I will eventually move to download because I listen to BF when commuting to work (45mins each way), but I got a new car recently and CD player now in glove compartment. My father-in-law got a new car last year and no CD player was available as an optional extra. I can foresee CD players in cars having become a thing of the past by the time I am next changing my car and that will probably trigger the switch.

I have a couple of CD players and HI-FI systems at home, so will always have places for CD's to play

same here all mine are cd's and the idea of selling them and keeping the downloads just seems very wrong indeed I'm one of those who only buy from BF because better they get the money than say Amazon
