I have a question about The Lonely Clock which maybe someone can help me with. Perhaps I'm just stupid, but I've never understood what the clock actually does.
How does the clock create the two versions of Winnie O'Connor, one with Leela/Ellie and the other on the train with Jago/Litefoot. I gather that the one of the train is a future version of the Leela/Ellie one, but then where does the dead body come from that Jago and Litefoot find on the train? And how does the Jago/Litefoot version exist on the train if the Leela/Ellie one is killed in the past?
I've never had this much difficulty understanding a Big Finish play before and an slightly embarrassed to have to ask for clarification...

The clock or more precisely Kempton and Hardwick who control it create a paradox by keeping J&L and Winnie stuck in the future at the moment of her Death while time runs normally outside until Leela, Ellie and the still living Winnie arrive and events play out as they do.
