Apologies if this question has been asked here before, but it's one I'm honestly interested in - does anyone know what happened to the BF composer Russell Stone after the mid-ish 2000's? He seems to have totally dropped off of the professional map, which is a shame since his music was superb. I really like his style, and if he's done any other work elsewhere, I'd love to be able to have a listen.

Russell is alive and well, and living in Coventry. He's a friend of mine, so I know he's good. He had to stop doing BF work as his family life took over, with the arrival of his two (gorgeous) children. You can hear him talking about his work on Spare Parts and Chimes of Midnight on the vinyl release documentaries.

That's good to know, and eminently understandable!

You can hear him talking about his work on Spare Parts and Chimes of Midnight on the vinyl release documentaries. That's it! When I saw Russell's name on this thread I knew I'd heard him recently, but couldn't think where. It was on the Chimes of Midnight vinyl edition documentary.
