Reiterating the poll question: Is the accompanying download option that is included with a CD purchase from BigFinish.com very important to you?
Or, are you more than satisfied paying less for the same CD from somewhere else (perhaps ripping it yourself) and not having its Big Finish app ready digital copy of it?

It is. Although I am migrating a few of my purchases to DL only, simply for space reasons!

I am, and always will be a physical product purchaser. there is only 1-2 stories I have reluctantly bought on the d/l version then I immediately burned them to a blank cd for my collection.

Im CD only, unless the story is Download only. But having the download option from when Ive brought a CD is always helpful in case of the worst.

I'm generally download only but will get special releases on CD. I like the complimentary download in this case as it means I can leave the special edition in mint condition and still listen to it.
Cheers

the complimentary download is great I always got everything from BF in CD so get it the day it comes out and not having to wait for the post I know I more than likely get more if I got from Amazon but like always to buy from BF so they get the money and not some third party

I'm a physical collector but I buy everything directly from BF so that they'll get the most out of my business and also because I like to have the downloads as a backup, especially with things eventually going out of print. I like being able to listen to something that hasn't come in the mail yet, too. I will always love my Big Finish shelf, though, even when it grows into two shelves as it inevitably will.

Extremely important. I prefer to buy BF releases from BF to support their business directly, and it’s vanishingly rare that I actually use CDs anymore - but I have my phone with me at all times.

It depends for me - if it's a new release I like the download so I can listen to it as soon as possible after release, but if it's something from the back catalogue I only listen to the CD so the download isn't important then.

I'm also mostly download. But I like purchasing CDs, when I get them, from Big Finish, so that I also get the download.

The thing is, it doesn't stop at two shelves! If only the shelves were bigger on the inside.. The Assemblers might be able to help you there.

If someone is really bothered about the digital copy, it's practically invisible unless they use the app or the download page on their account.

Are people actually bothered about the digital copy? Yep. I travel a lot and the CD arrives at my home so having the digital copy means if I'm in Singapore or Hong Kong I can still listen to the new releases without waiting however long.

I have primarily been a physical product buyer but have found myself not bothering to unwrap more & more CDs and just utilizing the free download via the listening app. I'm not at the only download point, although every time I see that Per Order charge I swear I will be, but I can imagine that day coming sometime in my future. So long winded answer, the download is important to me and getting even more important.

Are people actually bothered about the digital copy? Yeah. What a silly thing to be bothered by. I mean who gets bothered by free stuff that one doesn't have to use if one doesn't want to?

When I started out I got a load cheap from Amazon but eventually I started buying from the site, mainly in sales (it costs around the same as I’d been paying on Amazon to get a Main Range story on CD in a sale), but my problem is that most of the time I just listen to the download and never actually use the physical CD. So I’m trying to cut back on the physical copies I get and I’m pretty much limiting it to Sixth Doctor stories for the Main Range. I like to have something physical and I find it more justified to pay 14.99 or 23 and get a physical copy than 12.99 or 20 to just get the download. Really it depends how you listen, I mostly listen when I’m out and about so I’ve found myself moving more towards Downloads recently, but overall I get a mixture of both and if they stopped supplying a complimentary download with the physical CDs then I’d probably stop buying the physical CDs.
