WARNING: POTENTIALLY MATURE CONTENT. PLEASE BE TASTEFUL IN DESCRIPTION AND DO NOT BE CRASS OR GRAPHIC.
An inevitabilty of every online media fandom is that some element of the property becomes utilised for some type of sexual boon. Whether it's simple objectification i.e. shove the fan favourite in a bikini or speedo for a pin up, perhaps a fanfic where characters do bed gymnastics, or something more niche like, say, bondage or other assorted fetishes.
Where do you stand on them? Do you feel something should be done about them, or leave well enough alone? Do these in any way affect your perception of the programme or franchise?

Is it relatively safe, is it sane, and is it consensual? That's how i judge every NSFW fan work. As long as it doesn't devolve into rape, incest, or the like, I say leave well enough alone.

Why shouldn't it exist?

Yeah. I mean it's fine. It's impossible to wipe out and as long as no one is being hurt I don't see the harm.

As long as those still legally children can't access it. I'm not interested myself, that's not why I watch/read/or listen to these stories.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

The more NSFW end of fan-art doesn't bother me any more than than most of the rest of it providing that it doesn't push any of my "trigger-y" buttons: I don't find depictions of violence, sexual assault or stuff that involves children terribly edifying. Other than that, fan art/ fic doesn't really do that much for me. Loads of people are fans of it, I'm not.

My wife lurves the Supernatural/Teen Wolf fan fiction stuff.. I know for a fact the writers of Teen Wolf changed the earlier storylines in the 1st couple or so seasons because the fanfic between "Derrick & Styles" overshadowed Scott, who is the main character in the show.. they were all told by the studio not to talk about "that stuff" in any way ..

If people want to read/write that stuff, who am I to say no? Not my cup of tea, so you won't find me reading it. Some of it is really creepy, in my opinion, so not interested in sampling more.

Like others, as long as it's legal, I don't really have an issue with it.
I have written a little bit myself, based on some of the characters that I have written for my scripts, but never intend showing it to anyone other than a work-friend (it's really a test for myself to see if I can, rather than for public release).

Oh, I have thoughts about this.
I really don't like it, personally. We all have fantasties, but publishing them steps over a well-established line. I don't give a damn how geeky you are, there is a modicum of respect for a piece of work and you need to follow through on that, regardless of what get's your socks off. Especially, when it's a work that involves live action actors. It's not cute or charming, it's creepy and it's entitled and I'm always suspicious of the support, because there are corporations behind and they know where their bread is buttered. I can forgive teenage girls anything, but older fans really should know better, especially with the slash stuff. I'm not trying to diminish women expressing their sexuality, but I find so much of that stuff so uncomfortable and gross as a gay man.
Looking without stepping over the carefully measured tone of The Divergent Universe - all sites should follow, I am not exactly a clean guy by any stretch of the imagination. And I won't deny, ahem, there have been certain things which have, shall, we say, drawn my intrest over the years. Christopher Ecclestone without his shirt on, EVERY TIME WOLVERINE MANAGES TO LOSE HIS SHIRT AND SOMETIMES MORE SO, comic books in general. Star-Lord (Marvel comics title focusing on Peter Quill with it's artwork particularly aimed at heterosexual women and gay men) with it's is doing The Lord's work, as far as I'm concerned.
