Just finished Changes Everything. It's so good to finally have a followup to Miracle Day - I had no idea just how much I wanted it! It's a very interesting setup for the ongoing story, and I can't wait to get into the next episode I do have to ask though: was it just me, or did Eve Myles sound a little different? I spent the entire episode wondering whether I was actually listening to her or not, as sometimes she would sound right, but most of the time she sounded very different (maybe my hearing's going funny ).

Having just caved and opened the spoiler tabs in the thread (I'm usually better than that - shame on me!), I now know why I'm confused. I have to say, I'm sure it has a good pay off, but I found it more than a little distracting I was certain it wasn't her, and I'm so glad to know that I'm not going mad (I was genuinely concerned there was something wrong with me...)

May I ask the usual question people ask in these circumstances - do you need to have seen all the television Torchwood to understand this?
Many thanks.

So that's Aliens Among Us and the next set of single-disc stories I've got coming. If anyone thinkns I'm being smug about that, it's also bargain basement beans every mealtime from now on!

Does anyone have the run time of the episodes of this set? It's always helpful to know how to schedule them over the weeks nightshifts.

Have finished episode 2. Intrigue and mysteries...
Changes Everything itself, was good! A nice introductory episode, getting people (re)acquainted with the (new) status quo, and setting things up for the rest of the series. Like others, I was wondering why Gwen sounded off, but, yeah... I also noticed that there was a rather in-your-face off-hand reference to the events of the Titan Comics, but it still doesn't help me date them at all. For the time being, I'm still going to be grouping them in 2012, with Exodus Code.
Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy was great. Right proper Torchwood. Mr Colchester (what is his first name?) is so great, a wonderful addition to the team. Gwen & Partner at an alien hen night with whiney brides and overprotective mothers is just about as classic Torchwood as you can get, and it made for a rather wonderful outing.

Finished it now, and what a start. So far it's been a nice blend of the S1&2 monster-of-the week structure and the S3&4 one-story structure. The new characters are great - I already love Mr. Colchester, and Orr is a sympathetic presence amongst the well-worn cynical Torchwood team. The central story arc is promising and quite topical - although I'm worried we might see a shift into maniacal villain territory in future boxsets.
As for that tease in the Part 2 trailer... well, I certainly wasn't expecting that.
