All 6 DW related DW releases for me
The premise of the 1st Doc CC Boxset really excites me plus 2 more Ben and Polly stories
Lives of Captain Jack simply because in the last interview with Russell Tovey says he now only takes work that "excites or intrests him" Barrowman Vs Viahos intrigues too, I wonder who out laconic's who.
DW MR Shadow Planet the return of an old friend
DW ST the return of another lost era.
I'm sure 4DA and TW will be solid.
Regards

Got How to Win Planets on the Short Trips sub, and I can't wait to download torchwood_cascade_CDrip.tor. Legally, naturally. The good folks at Big Finish must have felt something about doing the killer bittorrent though. Will pre-order Shadow Planet/World Apart come payday. Also need to get the CD for Torchwood: Visiting Hours when I get a stable address.

Really looking foward to the First Doctor CCs: Vicki & Steven have become my favourite companion pairing from that era and Polly & Ben stories are all too rare in any medium, especially ones with the First Doctor. The Short Trip: The Fourth Doctor, Sarah and Harry - what a team, what a season they had! Another era that was too short on TV and sadly could not be reborn on audio - except like this. We've been kept waiting for this one, but by the Jago & Litefoot specials so that's OK! (Oh yes - and it's the Monk!) The Monthly Range: goes without saying.

I have all of the Doctor Who and Torchwood material coming, plus Survivors. Excited to hear all of it, but most excited for The Lives of Captain Jack because I want to finally hear that Jack and Jackie story we've been teased with for so long. I know it's going to be brilliant.

It feels a long time between drinks for First Doctor releases these days, so probably looking forward to that most of all, swiftly followed by the Captain Jack set.
I'll be getting everything except for the Marilyn and Sinatra release, as that just holds no interest whatsoever for me.
More than anything, though, I'm looking forward to getting to next month, and finally having Blake's 7 back.

I can't seem to figure out what I'm most looking forward to. It's a pretty exciting month all around for Who releases.

Really looking forward to How to Win Planets and Influence People. As must as I enjoyed the Jago & Litefoot special, I was a bit put out that it bumped this one down the schedule. Combination of anticipation and anxiousness with Shadow Planet/World Apart. I'm quite looking forward to the returning friend, but it will be over in two hours and he'll be gone again

I have a feeling The Lives of Captain Jack is going to be fantastic. Brilliant idea for a box set.

I realized I never replied to this thread ironically because I was anticipating quite a lot in June.
I was thinking it may be fun to look back at the end of the month and say what our favorite releases and stories were. And I decided I am going to start doing that now (even though there is still the Short Trips and I have one more story from Survivors to finish so I may end up editing this)
I think my top 3 stories were World Apart from the Main Range Across the Darkened City from The First Doctor Vol 2 Wednesday for Beginners from Captain Jack
Special Mention goes to the CASCADE_ CDRIP.TOR maybe as the most creative release of the month and a wonderful use of the audio medium. And probably my favorite acting was Elliott Chapman as the Player in The Plague of Dreams.

Well now that I finished Survivors Series 6 and this month's Short Trips How to Win Planets and Influence People June was a very strong month for Big Finish. Every release ranged from very good to excellent. And for someone who can be a bit iffy on the short trips this was one of my favorites. I was also very happy with the new Survivors set.
Anyways I would love to hear other people's thoughts on the month of June. Did the month meet your expectations? What were some of your favorite releases/stories this month? Did anything disappoint you? Were there any surprises?

I've yet to listen to the Short Trip but I'm taking it as read that it will be a lot of fun. Yes I'd agree: World Apart from the MR was a gripping story (wonderfully performed by Sophie Aldred and Philip Olivier alone for most of the time) and Across the Darkened City tied with The Plague of Dreams from what by any standards was an extremely good boxset of CCs. And I agree about Elliott Chapman in The Plague of Dreams too, a great performance flipping between the Player, Ben, The Doctor and the miscellaneous other characters. (The same goes for Anneke Wills, they made it feel almost like a full cast story.) And I must also mention Peter Purves in 'Across the Darkened City', an excellent performance of an excellent script. I would very much like to hear a First Doctor, Polly and Ben Early Adventure now. This renewed TARDIS crew has admirably proved itself in action and a full length story or two is surely a must?

Not having heard Survivors (yet) and not getting Marilyn or Pathfinders my favourite releases have been: 1. 1st Doctor boxset - Across the Darkened City, best story by far. 2. 1st Doctor boxset - The Plague of Dreams 3. Lives of Captain Jack - Month 25
followed by FDA Subterranea and MR Shadow Planet/World Apart
Cheers
Tony

I found Subterranea slightly disappointing compared to the rest of this latest series of 4DAs. Shadow Planet from the main range was okay, World Apart was excellent, as was Torchwood's Cascade. Survivors and Companion Chronicles I thought were extremely enjoyable - or at least two stories from each of those latter two. Haven't yet had the chance to hear the rest. A very good month, I'd say.
